The guys who project the November presidential vote consider Ohio an important state to win.

I’m hoping that good Catholics will take time to vote—and vote in support of freedom of conscience—AND also in the next few months find occasion to tell their friends, neighbors and fellow Catholics about the important of our constitutional right to religious conscience.

I hope as well.

It’s sad to say, but the morality of America is run by the voting majority.

We are already living in the “dictatorship of relativism” that Pope Benedict said is the gravest threat to Western society.

A new age whichin the Church is beginning.

Could we say it’s 1516 all over again?

I’m originally from a highly Democrat (and Catholic) part of Ohio and there is the tendency to vote along strict party lines, regardless of how that vote may go against the Church’s positions.

What part of Ohio is that?

You know, I’ve wondered about that: how did this political party get hijacked from its constituencies in order to promote views different from the bulk of its members?

Is it just the cash? The situation’s like that in Illinois.

Northeast. Former Steel Mill territory.
Bingo.

I’m in Cuyahoga county. But I went to one of our many fabulous Catholic high schools where they taught me virtually everything I know about morality and spirituality.

Both me and my girlfriend will be voting for Life, marriage between only a man and woman, and religious liberty this November. Sadly yes, we are the minority here.

That said, looking at maps of Ohio by county, I think most of the state geographically is Red. Only Cuyahoga county and a few others are blue. Unfortunately these are the counties with the majority of the state’s population, and that’s why it will be close.
