Of course it is, its the right way to look at it and without “fear”. The practical uses’s are all known and have been a very long time. But you still need a plan for a home invasion or an assault and regardless if you choose to use a whistle the phone or a gun.It is possible to exist in societies that experience crime… and feel relatively secure despite not owning a gun. There is a great deal of comfort in the policy of limiting guns to certain practical uses, even though criminals may steal them and use them in crime. Having an outlook over the bigger picture makes for the best overall policy.
Criminals, don’t needs guns. They use sticks and stones if need be, evil in not restricted to guns. History proves the point. Evil is not restricted by guns, its been around a very long time. Its affects “people”.
And yes we need to address the bigger picture, which restructure of mental heath and education where violence is prevalent without weapons all together. They pick up the weapons as an extension of their rage, logic and reason left the building by then, only to leave evil in charge.
