Are you supposed to just look at the Divine Mercy image?

I think I read that Christ wants us to reverence the image, showing it deep respect, but are we supposed to just look at it to get the graces? (If that’s how it works, sorry) Can we pray while looking at it?

Of course you can pray when you look at the image. There is a prayer on it, in fact: Jesus, I trust in you.

One does not simply look at Jesus. That would be too easy. Look at him, pray and believe 🙂

Surely the frustration of Saint Faustina when she saw the original painting of the Divine Mercy is relatable because no human brush can ever replicate the actual beauty and glory of Jesus

It’s about JESUS I TRUST IN YOU written on the image. Here is a video which ties it all together:

Hang it in a place of honor. Treat it as you’d treat a crucifix. It is essentially an image of the risen Christ, but not like the contemporary risen Christ on a cross that hang in some churches. I believe the Divine Mercy image may be the true image of the risen Christ that He wants to be hung up if that’s the version of Christ that someone wants to see.
