Can One Bible say differnt things. Give different teachings on the same topic? Can these pasages spmehow be reconciled.

Rom.5: [18] Then as one man’s trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one man’s act of righteousness leads to acquittal and life for all men Tit.2: [11] For the grace of God has appeared for the salvation of all men,

**Heb.5: [9] **and being made perfect he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, Rom.13: [11] Besides this you know what hour it is, how it is full time now for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed; Matt.19: 17 …… If you would enter life, keep the commandments."

Luke.14:[27] Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple. Matt.10: [38] and he who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

John.3: [5] Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. [15] that whoever believes in him may have eternal life."3: [16] For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.3: [17] For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.**3: [36] **He who believes in the Son has eternal life; he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him.

Faith saves us. Faith is a gift from God.

Our faith is active and completed when we reach the fullness of faith (AKA faith-fullness). Our full and complete faith is required for entry into Heaven. Belief that Jesus Christ exists is not enough - even the demons tremble. We have to be faith-full (full of faith).

We need to be baptized for entry into the God’s kingdom, and his kingdom on earth is the Church. The Church is God’s intstrument of salvation in the world and through it we get to heaven. Baptism → Church → Heaven.

If we disobey God, fugetaboutit.

Thank God for Purgatory. Seriously.

You left a couple:

Mark 15:15:
Amen I say to you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, shall not enter into it.
Matthew 18:3:
And said: Amen I say to you, unless you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Hi Tim: Good job! But the list is incomplete.🙂

Christian Baptism [John 3:5]
Faith [with understanding who, what and why] and freewill acceptance of these [Mk. 16:16]
Keeping ALL of the Commandments [Matt. 19:17]
Good works [charity] [James 2]
Not dying with unconfessed /unforgiven Mortal sins [John 20:15-19]

God Bless my friend,
Pat

No, I got most of those. Maybe I’m not understanding what you are after. Are you after quotes from the Bible? Anyway, I hit the ideas, most of them.

OK, AD what else?

Doesn’t it start with:

John 6:44:
No man can come to me, except the Father, who hath sent me, draw him; and I will raise him up in the last day.
  1. The Father draws us to the Son.
Romans 10:17:
Faith then cometh by hearing; and hearing by the word of Christ.
  1. And faith is given to us as a gift by God through hearing His word.
John 3:16:
For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting.
  1. Through His word we come to believe in Christ. We are now moved into obedience of our Lord’s instructions (Confession of our sins, Surrender to Christ as our Savior, Baptism, Keeping a child’s attitude when receiving acceptance into the Kingdom of Heaven, allowing and seeking the works of our faith)
Isaiah 11:1-3
1 AND there shall come forth a rod out of the root of Jesse, and a flower shall rise up out of his root.
2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him: the spirit of wisdom, and of understanding, the spirit of counsel, and of fortitude, the spirit of knowledge, and of godliness.
3 And he shall be filled with the spirit of the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge according to the sight of the eyes, nor reprove according to the hearing of the ears.
  1. The gifts of the spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is, charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, longanimity,
23 Mildness, faith, modesty, continency, chastity. Against such there is no law.
  1. The spirit bears fruit.
In humble, but firm, obedience and with the knowledge that there is nothing we can do by our own works without faith, but by His Grace that we are saved.

I just yesterday finished a refresher on “Justificaton” for someone else.

Certainly FAITH is AN ABSOLUTE requirement; BUT so are baptism, obedience to the commandments, freewill assent to God’s Iniative of Grace, Good works [charity] and of couse dying in the State of Grace with God. NO unconfessed, unforgiven Mortal sin.

God Bless you, and WELCOME to the Forum!
