My expectation is that yes, this would be the case. In the case of a de facto invalid marriage, a declaration of nullity is still required, but it’s a very straightforward procedure that involves paperwork only.
Can you point to any documentation from Rome which stipulates the above in the event of a reconciliation?

I am not that poster, but I think the sense was that they do it inconsistently with the RCC,
or irregularly with relation to the RCC, or unauthorized, rather than opposition in the sense of “opposing”.

But if a priest in SSPX or elsewhere denied the validity of the Ordinary Form Masses, that in my opinion would be in opposition in the sense of opposing.
I do not know if they still do it, but the laity who chose to become “Third Order SSPX” members had to sign a paper promising never to attend a “novus ordo Mass.”

It does not help SSPX’ public relations to keep up the chant “There is hostility against us”. It presents readers with the idea that SSPX is paranoid. What possible benefit to anyone comes from repeating that allegation over and over?
Fair point. By the same token what about allegations of forever ongoing “New Mass is invalid” statements, which I doubt are spouted by every FSSPX supporter?

BTW, though I have a FSSPX close by, I have no dog in this fight as I have four other Latin Masses within 30 minutes I can attend and support.

So it really doesn’t make sense to say a marriage in the SSPX is invalid, because until a declaration of nullity is official, the marriage is assumed to be valid.

Whatever the legal and civil reasons were for this action, I am glad the AB of Buenos Aires took any action to help these priests, whether any sort of normalization is near or not. All people of faith have areas of mutual concern in which we can cooperate.
