I personally know what it is like to grow up believing that there wasn’t a God, because I was taught by my parents whom I trusted and loved that this was the case. I would still surely think this way if it wasn’t for events in my life that first made me believe in God, and soon after believe in Christ. Christ felt strongly that adults should not teach children not to believe in him. This has made me believe Christ doesn’t hold secular people fully responsible for their situation. It seems to be further proof that, in the end, he will reveal his existence to us all, and while tribulation might be inevitable, hell surely isn’t. I myself, once believed in God, had severe personal tribulation as to the immoral life I had led, thinking soley of the wretch I must appear as to God. Prehaps this type of self regret and loathing might be one of the worse effects of non-believers, once they actually become aware of the truth in the end.
What do you think about what I said, do you think there might be much truth in it?
