Arius on Prayers for Departed

I am familiar with the fact that Arius taught against the dual nature of Christ and the Trinity etc. I was a little surprised that he also taught against, according to some sources, prayers for the dead.

I am however unable to find anything beyond the fact that he taught against it. From where do we know this ? Where is it discussed online or in book form, particularly from early times ?

No I’m not the least bit interested in becoming Arian but I am curious about this aspect.

I am not aware of any documentation of such teaching, though my knowledge is by no means exhaustive! However I would observe that there is a long history of accusing acknowledged heretics of all kinds of heretical teachings that they never actually discussed. . . .
