Hi. I recently read an article on the net that has me curious. A man named Ron Wyatt claims ( or did claim, as he is now deceased) to have found the Ark. It was hidden in a chamber under the site of our Lords crucifixition, and coated in the blood of the Lord himself.

It further went on to say that four angels have been guarding it, and that when the time is ready will reveal it to us.

He had the blood tested, and it contained 23 chromosones, and a single Y chromosone. After having it incubated for three days it also tested as being still alive.

My question is I suppose, has anyone read this as well and if so whats their take on it?

No, I’ve not heard nor read anything of this of which you speak. I would be interested if there is any truth to it. Scott Hahn should know about this, perhaps he’ll read this and respond.

I was introduced to the interesting stories of Mr. Wyatt several years ago by a well-meaning friend with limited critical thinking skills. There are plenty of places on the internet where one can find sufficient evidence to debunk Wyatt’s claims. He was infamous for announcing amazing discoveries and providing little, if any, evidence for them. He always had an excuse as to why he could not produce physical proof for his claims. He probably kept the worst documentation of any ‘archeologist’ in history.

The pictures of the so-called blood on the Wyatt website do not appear to be blood. I think Wyatt’s heirs could clear everything up by simply producing a sample of the blood for independent testing, but I do not see that happening.

Good science brings us closer to God; fraud does not.

There are many stories about the Ark, The Holy Grail, Noah’s Ark, etc.

Take them with a grain of salt.

Last I heard the Ark was in Ethiopia.

We are on Quest to find the Ark and the Holy Grail. Ethiopia is the best shot IMHO.

Not to shoot any of you guys down, because really this is all speculation, but he does present some interesting arguments.

I mean, really what would the blood of our Savior look like when it was sitting in a cave for over a 1900 years? I can’t really begin to comprehend that.

As to its where abouts, they do present valid arguments. ( As valid as any as I have read), so I won’t just toss his claims aside. Sure he was lacking in archeological skills, but it reads like he was an amateur who took it up later in life.

I have read the Ethopia side as well, and it seems feasible. But wouldn’t it be incredible that Jesus himself was the final sacrafice made upon the Ark? To me that sounds like the plan of our God.

Thanks for your insight guys. I just found this story really incredible.

Perhaps. But I don’t think that Mt. Moriah is Golgatha. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem is supposed to enclose Golgatha.

Were the angels interviewed ? 🙂 Since angels are not visible to bodily eyes, it seems a little odd to talk about them as though they could be photographed.

The whole thing is unmitigated balderdash and nonsense -unless the reference is to the Ark of the Covenant from the time before the Solomonic Temple.

How could the Ark be coated in the Blood of Christ ? This is an object said to be of metal and wood that we’re talking about, after all. The details about the blood sound like something from a cheap horror film 🙂 - this one, to be precise: imdb.com/title/tt0068424/

The Blood of Christ is (or was) human blood, and would be just like any other human blood - being God would not alter the genuineness of His human make-up

The Ark from the Second Temple taken to Rome in 70 AD was taken from Rome in 455, and is now somewhere in the waters off the coast of Tripoli or thereabouts.

People claim all sort of things - to have found Atlantis, to have proved that the Pyramids are twelve thousand years old, to have received revelations in strange scripts from friendly aliens on the planet Gonzo, to be Tut-ankh-amun or Louis XVI or Julius Caesar reincarnated, to have proved that God is an astronaut. There are an awful lot of loonies on the loose.

IOW - an awful lot of people talk an awful lot of nitrogen-rich bovine waste. Ignore them, is my advice. ##
