I support Mrs. Duggar and her husband. They give a superb testimony to the gift of life. I do not see her behavior as odd, simply different. In fact, back in the day, it used to be the norm, not the exception for parents to have large families. Parenting styles have changed throughout the years. She possibly has an older, more out dated style, but it certainly isn’t wrong. I was raised in the old fashioned style, and I turned out alright. I believe the culture of death has blinded us to the reality of life and truth. This woman shows it with all her strength. 👍

I enjoy the show…and the wedding was really nice…
Did you notice Anna’s modest wedding gown…I think other brides should take note…Have you all noticed the wedding gowns these days:eek:

I agree wholeheartedly. She looks refreshingly modest and sets yet another example for women today. We would do well to follow her lead. Do not get me going on the immodest fashions of today. 😉

And the modest bridesmaids dresses. They were BEAUTIFUL!!

They didn’t tell their son that he couldn’t kiss before they got married, Josh and Anna chose that on their own. Michelle has told her children about her dating experiences and the baggage she had from those when she and JimBob started dating. And I agree with her. I hope I can save my children some of the pain that my husband and I went through by not saving everything for each other. I think in a world where 12 and 13 year old kids are having sex, to see a 20 something couple who has never even kissed is wonderful. I hope all of their children follow in their big brothers footsteps.
I hope our daughters get someone as wonderful as Josh Dugger, of course Catholic:thumbsup:, but I want them to have someone who will respect them and love them that much. My husband even watches the show with me, because we like to see young children who are respectful and kind and love the Lord.
I just finished reading their book! It was wonderful and I plan on using some of their orginazational tips and some recipes too!!
I’ve seen the wedding twice now and it was beautiful! The dresses were modest. And him singing to her was just so beautiful and sweet! I had no idea he could sing like that!
If you don’t like the show, then don’t watch it!! It’s that simple, just turn the channel, but why do you have to run them down just because you don’t agree with them! You’re not winning anyone over to your thinking by saying unkind things about someone you don’t even know, but have decided you don’t like! Not a very Christian attitude in my opinion.
I can’t wait to see how many children Josh and Anna have!!

Oh man, it was great to see that! I’m 18 and don’t intend on getting married until after I finish college, but already, I know I’d LOVE to have a wedding dress like that! I only wish they sold modest prom dresses (they do online, as well as wedding dresses, but they’re so expensive). I had to settle for a strapless long dress, so I’ll probably wear my hair down for more coverage. Side note: oddly enough, the strapless dress supports my small frame more that the ones with straps I tried on. 🤷

But I LOVE this family. Even if you don’t agree with them, they’ve got some pretty good ideas. See the episode where they showed how they saved money on everything? In this economy, I found it very enlightening. And even though people are quick to judge them for their sexist views, I find they have more freedom than most people, as they were willing to teach the boys girls’ jobs and the girls’ boys jobs. Heck, I’ve never been taught to take care of a car. I like the idea with saving your first kiss until marriage. I’ve already had my first kiss, but i think what they do is commendable. Other than that, I’ve found my boyfriend kind of resembles Josh (weird, but they have the same name…better hold onto him!)

However, I could not give up dancing! I’ve danced since I was six (ballet). It’d be a hard addiction to give up!

I like this family also…

However there is nothing wrong with dancing…uless its the vulgar kind:shrug:

I bought their book and its interesting and kind of explains there child rearing …

I did enjoy the wedding…how nice and refreshing 🙂
