**I have several family members that have served in these branches of the military. So this game has been a long standing tradition in my family.

I do not remember in the past for the sitting President to have so much air time during this game. Am I wrong???..or has this sitting President be given a long leash with the media?**

On the plus side, it was a Ronald Reagan coin that was given to him on the coin toss.

**I support the use of the Ronald Reagan coin…I still wonder - has any other sitting President have so much “air” time during this football game?

Then I also wonder the use of the RR coin? I know they will say it was an anniversary for RR…however was that an easy fact to advance certain agendas?**

I do not know if any sitting president has had so much air time. Given the relationship between a leftist press and the president, it would not surprise me if the answer to that is no.

We can assume that Obama saw the airtime as a political tool to advance himself.

We can assume that the leftist press was more than compliant in giving him the airtime.

We can also assume that the Ronald Reagan coin used at the coin toss would not have been his first choice. I personally see the use of that coin as a not so subtle message from the officials of the game that any partisan advantage coming from being associated with the game would not go completely unopposed.

I thought it added a nice little touch actually. 🙂

Obama is a creation of the media, and the media must needs continue to prop him up.

Obama’s first law as President was expansion of international abortions.

What did the President discuss on the air? Was it political in nature or strictly about sports? I didn’t get to see the game.

It was mainly about the armed forces themselves, and how great the tradition was, and about it being played in Washington D.C. for the first time. His own sports history… he played football for 1 year apparently, then basketball.

The most political thing of the afternoon was said by the commentator:
He showed Obama that Auburn has a play, in which they hold a picture of a puzzled looking Obama up to signal it, and asked Obama to respond.

Obama clearly didn’t know what to say, he got out of it somehow without saying much.

Then the announcer said, “I think the play was either to run to the center, or slightly to the left”.

Pretty funny. After Obama left the one announcer asked if Obama laughed at that… he did.

But yeah, Obama couldn’t really cheer for one side or the other, but he said his grandfather was in the Army. And, he never commented on the plays except once when he said “that appears to be a fumble”.

I could totally picture Bush knowing stats and stuff.

First Army-Navy game I’ve watched all the way through,
First year my brother has been in the Navy, HOOYAH.

So, I’m unable to say if Obama got more time than usual, but he certainly got between 5-10 min. solid.
