I was watching a tv show and it had a guy and a girl. The girl was married but the guy wasn’t and they started kissing and stuff but the scene changed. I get aroused very easily and I was so seeing if it is a sin to get aroused from watching them kiss with her being married and maybe commuting adultery. I know it sounds ridiculous but my mind won’t be at ease until I know. Thanks

If you’ve never seen the show before and didn’t expect that, there is no sin. However, if you have watched this show before and know it has a history of showing this (while also knowing you get aroused easily), it would be a sin. You should do your best to avoid any show that may lead to lust. Arousal is not lust but can lead to lust. It would be best to talk to your priest in confession about this for guidance specific to your life.

If you have sinned, or if you are not sure but think you might have sinned, try to keep a positive, forward-looking attitude. That may help to put your mind at ease. Resolve to avoid that sin, and then move on. If it is a grave sin, take it to confession.

Also be aware that TV shows are crafted to get your attention and hold it. They plant psychological hooks every minute to keep you tuned in. I think you found one. The solution may be to turn it off, as @pianistclare wrote, or change the channel and find something more wholesome.

Sounds like you need to be more selective of what you watch…and perhaps just take a break from tv.Read a good book!
God bless.

I understand the concern with satisfying an active conscience. When I am burdened with my possible failings, I try to put things in perspective like this:

Who do I know that is dying of cancer and could use a visit from me? Have I made that visit or am I preoccupied with my self?

Who else have I neglected? Have I called my mother this week? My brother? My friend from school who got divorced?
(these are all real people for me personally, not hypothetical people…)

Does my parish need the grass mowed, the floor cleaned, etc? Can I do hospital and nursing home visits for the Church?

In my own battle against lust, visiting nursing homes began to put life in perspective.
You think you have serious problems with tempting TV? Visiting a nursing home will put your life in perspective and turn your heart outwards where it should be.

I’m very confused as to why you think adultery is a factor here. Unless I’m really misunderstanding your post, one character was married and one was not. That would be adultery in the fictional universe of the show, but obviously not in real life. There’s no real adultery here; it was just a fictional depiction of adultery.
