White Dove, Please, I do not understand “shrill”. Shrill sounds like a term ladies use. I am a man, and a retired H.S. football coach. I don’t use that word. Can you substitute another word? Yes? Do it.

Cute is another French word I am not in the habit of using. There are three ,eamings for “cute”. Your context didn’t help me. Usually plain language is best for comunication.
 
Hello All,

For me this all comes down to a few words from Mary and Jesus:

“Whatever He says to you, do it”
“Not as I will, but as Thou wilt.”
“My yoke is easy and My Burden is light.”

These words mean obedience and love. What we all need to do is look at the Church teachings. Open up the Catechism. Read about the liturgy, etc. etc.

If your view differ from the Church’s YOU NEED to change. NOT the Church. Saying this in no way makes a person arrogant or intolerant. It is simply the truth. And at times, we have the responsibility to defend the truth.

The only relationship that matters in this world is the one we have with God. Are we faithful to Him when we label others and close our hearts? Do we point fingers at others without examining ourselves (I know I am guilty)?

We do not have to reinvent the Church. God will take care of that. We need to live obediently and strive for truth.

M.E. Morrison was “ordained” in California in a Protestant church (Ebenezer Lutheran Chirch) by Thaddeus Alioto, a married man claiming to be a bishop (because he had been “consecrated” a bishop by Wallace David de Ortega Maxey).

De Ortega Maxey had been “consecrated” numerous times by various North American Old Catholic bishops (whom even the Old Catholic Churches in Europe deny have valid orders). De Ortega Maxey also claimed to have been consecrated by Antoine Aneed.

Aneed’s story is that he was consecrated a bishop by a RC Eastern Rite bishop in Syria and sent to America. Both the Vatican and the Syrian Patriarchate involved denounced the story as a fabrication.

If you have any doubts over the veracity of my statements as to where Morrison got “ordained,” just ask his fellow “independent” priest, Merril Adamson. He was “ordained” in the same ceremony. I’ve a written statement from him confirming the fact.

This is important not because of anything Morrison states on the internet, but because he dresses up his statements as coming from a RC priest.

Even the devil can quote Scripture.

Anyone e-mailing to Morrison’s list a request for the facts of his claimed ordination will be dropped.

It never ceases to amaze me how sedevacantists can be so cock-sure JP II is a fraud, yet swallow hook, line and sinker any number of bogus clerics; just because the frauds sing the music sedes like to hear.

It takes more than “right” preaching to make a priest.

I singed-up for “traditio” years ago just to test this out. I beamed Morrison an emial asking for his bona fides re Ordination and I was kicked-off the Tradtio list

Thanks for the info! I normally wouldn’t use that site anyway but I like to read the links that posters make to get their side of the story and lately that’s required a lot of traditio.com reading.

I’m married, so I can no longer practice Jocularity. One wife only…at a time.

Sarcasm (pre-VatII) is appearing to agree with someone, but actually making a humor of how incoherent you think their POV is.
It often includes extreme examples such as as terrorist comment above…but only to drive a point, not actuality.

Sarcasm (post-VatII) mean-spirited, insulting, personal attacker, linguistic terrorist…SCHISMATIC…JANSENIST and liberal torcherer…

Because, it would then allow for any later Magisterium to do the very same thing to the teachings of this current Magisterium.The Mormans do this very well. That includes adherence to mama Bear’s favorite mantra…PASTOR AETERNUS 1870ad. I want them all to have “pope ___ of happy memory”. Then I’m happy too.🙂

Your pronouns representing the word traditionalist are just that - pronouns.

The reason I call this to your attention is that when someone has a propensity to use slang or self-made pronouns in a serious exposition it , the slang, demeans the statements.

How would you react if I addressed a comment to you and I said that you have a pansy-like attitude, or your asinine powers of reason displays your intellect? So, it was not a frivolus comment.:bounce:
 
Note that not a single change from the Second Vatican Council changed “the structure of the Church” – it changed some disciplines including the format of the Mass without affecting the underlying valaidity of the Mass.

I sincerely believe that the Second Vatican Council did not change “the structure of the Church”, as stated, but certainly many priests and bishops have.
 
First and foremost let me say that I believe and hold to be true all the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. I am concerned about the factions (traditionalists, radicals, liberals…) that are forming. On the one hand, we are human and tend to fracture and form groups. On the other hand we are children of the Father and should resist such grouping. Today I read Paul’s letter to the Galatians, Chapter 5. Such fracturing and divisions are of the flesh. Let us live by the Spirit whose fruits are mentioned there.

You’re comparing apples and oranges here. On one hand you are calling somebody stupid or naive and on the other hand you are condensing what they believe into one short term. I don’t freak out when people call me a “Novus Ordo type” which has been done many times on these forums.

Now, I would be concerned if I were you if someone called you a rad-Trad because that’s someone who’s beliefs are inconsistent with the Catholic Faith. I have not done this. So basically, if the shoe doesn’t fit, don’t wear it!

I apoligize at my feeble attempt at levity earlier. It is just that after a certain number of serious posts I have to let loose for a while or lose my sanity. The whole problem with the topic here and on the one that started earlier is that sterotypes never fit too many people.

I believe that the traditional Catholic is no more arrogant nor intolerant than any other Catholic group.

I ask, IF the Nontraditional Catholic, the Modernists, the Liberals, the ones who want to change the Mass and the ones who want to change the role of women in the Church ARE NOT EVEN MORE INTOLERANT while walking an ARROGANT walk, don’t you agree.

There are at least two threads on this Forum on which a traditional or conservative statement is met with intolerance and harsh words.

This poster says the nontraditionalists are arrogant and lack tolerance. Any comments?

Someone once said, “Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?” I think He meant – in part – that we tend to spend far too much time condemning others, and that the frame of mind we create for ourselves (not to mention the atmosphere we create around us) by indulging in anger and judgementalism is conducive neither to spiritual and moral growth nor to peace (inner or outer). It certainly has very little practical affect.

The tendency is certainly hard to avoid. I’m obviously not avoiding it right now (and, frankly, as I examine my own present upsurge of petty self-righteousness I despair of ever really growing up – the satisfaction is really a pretty childish one, because children tend to lack any sense of how deeply ignorant they themselves are).

But I do have trouble understanding the depth of the contempt some people express – “liberals are liars” or “traditionalists are hypocrites” – their apparent inability to appreciate that other people, despite having different (even, if you insist, mistaken) opinions, are just as decent as themselves, and that we’re all – mostly in ways we don’t realize – just as flawed. (I DO understand this last element – I think a lot of us have a secret conviction that the statement “we’re all sinners” means “I sometimes make insensitive remarks; other people lie, cheat, steal and kill.”)

Is there any reason we can’t disagree passionately and yet still have respect and affection for each other?

I think you’ll all have to agree that I’m right on this. No – don’t rush to thank me. It’s the least I can do to pass on a little of my insight and serenity to benighted souls like yourselves.

I do not claim that John Paul II is not the pope. I claim that he is an apostate, a heretic, a bad pope, and a bad man.

However, I do believe in and practice the religion of the popes – all of the popes up to John XXIII. As far as I know, they all TAUGHT the religion of Jesus of Nazareth. That is not to say that they all made a good practice of it, but (at least) they TAUGHT it.

Furthermore, they did not replace the Holy Mass with a damnable sacrilegious insult to Our Lord and pretend that it is a real Mass.

This New Conciliar Religion is not Catholicism. Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear knows that. If YOU had a Catholic education in your youth, YOU know it.
