So it`s just a question of whether modernist Rome is prepared to be reconciled with the True Church.

No, it is a matter of recognizing those who loves the Church and are consider to be ouside and those who stayed in the Church with the purpose to destroy it. and the holy father is doing this. that is why he has been so attacked. soon the wolves will be put to shame. oh, it is happening right now.

In case you`re not pulling my leg:

If my tongue had been pushed any harder into the cheek, it would have pushed a hole right through it.

ive been involved in a couple of brawls with SSPX promoters; and their "holier than thou" attitude tends to give me the horrors. "The Remnant" isnt my favourite publication, and that interview has more than a bit of the “The SSPX has held the fort, and it`s up to modernist Rome to come our way.”.

Some of them blame Vatican II and “the New Mass” for all of the Churchs woes, and thats baloney. Things were going wrong before Pope John, who im convinced was guided by the Holy Spirit, called the Council. im old enough to remember the pre-Vatican II Church, and it wasn`t all moonlight and roses. The fact that so many older adults enthusiastically embraced the abuses shows that their faith was already critically ill. The Church needed to have a bomb put under It to clear out the cobwebs and other assorted debris, and to lance the not-so-far-under-the-surface festering sore.
There was no such thing as a “Golden Age” immediately prior to VII.

The attitude of some hard-line Traditionalists towards the Novus Ordo (cynically called “the New Mass”) gives me the horrors, as well. Its THE MASS, and thats all there is to it. They keep bringing up the abuses in Los Angeles and elsewhere as though they`re the norm. If some of them had their way, the Novus Ordo would be banned outright.

By the way: im a post-VII Traditionalist who unconditionally accepts the validity of the Novus Ordo, but prefers the TLM, especially a Solemn High Mass celebrated by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter whose priests are TOTALLY in union with Rome, and who, at least in this part of the world, are on friendly terms with the "Novus Ordo" folks. ***Thats how all Trads should be.***

Sorry, I did miss understand your post.😊

In fact, I totally agree with you. I was a 3rd. degree K of C when the VC II was called & when the OF replaced the EF. Several Knights left the Church, as did I in '71 & was out for about 35 years. Oh, I attended a Mass ever so often. but did not receive because on not confessing.

I returned to the Church in 2005 upon JP II’s death & then found CAF. I am a pre-VII Traditionalist & do miss the EF.
