Honestly, does any one of us ever come to a point in our life when we say, “I earn more than enough money. I’ll just give the rest away”? Not on your life!

Almost never would such a thought even occur to the average person. Instead, most of us respond to a pay increase, for example, by expanding our lifestyle and continuing to complain that we don’t have enough. At some point, we ought to admit that we do cross over into greed.

What is greed? It is the insatiable desire for more.

I don’t see a lot of greed. I think the vast majority of people earn and get buy. We are not extravagant. We do want more. With 7 kids my wife needs to earn a good chunk of money. We have a nice house, we travel when we can… We raise our kids Catholic, have a huge ugly white van and continue to strive to better ourselves financially and professionally. I’ve found that is the vast majority of people. Do my kids have more than a refugee family? Sure. Do they engage in recreation and sports and travel and arts that are on the higher side of society? Sure. Have we had to curb their thankfulness and culture? yep. but greed? Not really. I came from a greedy family. My mom and sister are very very materialistic. That’s not me… But I do like a nice hotel when I travel to Italy…LOL
