All the time, unless I being a fallible human forget, but I usually remember later and pray for them then and ask God to please back date it.

There are so many people to pray for. But if someone tells me their problems, they pop into the front of the line.

Specifically, I pray for them within minutes and at the end of that particular day. They may or may not come to mind in following days, depending on the circumstances and my memory but I always include in my intentions:
"For all those for whom I have promised to pray for, "

When asked at the moment and when prompted by the Holy Spirit. For example, some problems are more dire than others and require more grace, and sometimes more time, from God. With habitual issues I add the person to our mass’ prayer intentions while other issues are prayed for through the rosary or with fasting. Each situation is different but when you are prompted by the Holy Spirit then that is definitely a time to pray. Pax Christi!

Gosh, I get a lot of strangers who will dump their life story on me, look relieved, and walk away. I don’t feel the need to pray for them because it seems as if an open ear allowed them to get something from God.

I like to pray for my groups that need to turns toward God, especially if I see them moving further away from Him.

I’ve tried to make it a habit that when someone tells me of a problem, illness, challenge that I stop right then and say “is it alright if I pray right now?”. No one ever says “NO” 🙂 Then, a simple Our Father and a mention of the intention “Lord, I pray that you will help Amanda in her search for a job. Give her peace and determination.”
