I believe that all Catholics are bound to accept as true all the the Church teaches is true. How bout the rest of you?
I agree. A quote from John Henry Newman speaks well to what you said:I do too, though I have my difficulties. Marian doctrine is probably my greatest difficulty, and then there are moments when it makes sense (the Revelation Reading today) and make it so clear. I have the struggle with it, but the Church was instituted by Christ, has the guardianship of the Holy Spirit and that guidance, that I trust the Churchās wisdom and teaching.
I agree. A Catholic is bound to accept as true what the Church teaches. There is no place for āpick n chooseā Catholicism in the Church.I believe that all Catholics are bound to accept as true all the the Church teaches is true. How bout the rest of you?
Me too, thank God. I feel so sorry for people that have no one but themselves at the helm of the ship.I believe that all Catholics are bound to accept as true all the the Church teaches is true. How bout the rest of you?
Amen to that.Me too, thank God. I feel so sorry for people that have no one but themselves at the helm of the ship.
Of course, thatās one of the things that make us Catholics.I believe that all Catholics are bound to accept as true all the the Church teaches is true. How bout the rest of you?
I always felt the Church was true since Protestantism failed (and still fails) to make logical sense. I have questioned Church teaching in the past due to my lack of understanding. However, now I am āon board with Catholicismā fully whether I understand or not because I KNOW the Chuch is true. - What a great feeling to make that last step towards full acceptance.ā¦There is no place for āpick n chooseā Catholicism in the Churchā¦
Awwwww!! You couldāve voted the first one! God bless you on your faith journey and may I be the first to tell you WELCOME HOME!!!I voted other, Iām not Confirmed yet, Iāll be beginning RCIA this September.
However, I believe everything the Church teaches regardless of whether I understand it or not.
There have been so many time when I havenāt understood a teaching and after just giving it to the Lord he clears it up for me. It doesnāt bother me anymore when I donāt understand. I know Iām in good hands and the Lord is so faithful!!I always felt the Church was true since Protestantism failed (and still fails) to make logical sense. I have questioned Church teaching in the past due to my lack of understanding. However, now I am āon board with Catholicismā fully whether I understand or not because I KNOW the Chuch is true. - What a great feeling to make that last step towards full acceptance.
EDIT: Iām sure I havenāt had my last test however.
It is as it is the authority of the Church I will always believe.I agree. A Catholic is bound to accept as true what the Church teaches. There is no place for āpick n chooseā Catholicism in the Church.
If you still donāt understand a particular teaching, then the place to start is by consulting the *Catechism of the Catholic Church, *which is quite readable. Coupled with prayer, God will do the rest.

STIOFĆN said:I believe in God
, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Sprit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.
Amen.
Amen I say to that ā¦we as Catholics are very blessed to have the Chruch to be our one true mystical body of Christ.
