** I forgot to remind you that in the OT it was strictly told that you will not make any graven images. You have violated that order. There is no excuse for that, I hope**.
It’s like keeping a picture of family members in your house - so you can remember them. We don’t worship the statues, just like you don’t worship a book (the Quran). We have them so that, when we’re praying, we’re less distracted by things like “what’s for dinner?” or “I wonder if we have any milk.”If you are not worshipping the statues then what is the use of having them there in the church? You are very close to idolatory, only a step away from it.
God ordered us not to create graven images that would be worshiped. If you had any knowledge of the OT, you’d know that God Himself ordered “graven images” to be placed on the Ark of the Covenant - two angels - among others. Again, you’re just spewing the same lies that you have been told before. If you want to ask question, please do that! But don’t come here and try to prove us wrong with our own scriptures. You will fail** I forgot to remind you that in the OT it was strictly told that you will not make any graven images. You have violated that order. There is no excuse for that, I hope**.
Muslim Woman, I have a questionsome sins will be forgiven
You are contradicting yourself and denying your previous post. Jesus’ statement “Before Abraham was made, I AM” is always in the Gospel. However, you are trying to modify that clear statement since it goes against the teachings of the Koran and rebuts the Islamic allegation that Jesus never made Himself equal to God in the New Testament.** I do not correct Jesus. I do not blame Jesus. But I blame you for reversing the teachings of Jesus. And every day, making changs in the words to benefit you well after few years time. It is illegal. It is your fault, not the fault of Jesus.**.
You claim to detest no one but your posts apparently stem from your hatred towards Christianity, towards Christ’s disciples (Paul, for instance!), towards Christ’s Church and the clergy (padres!).**
I have no hatred against any one. But I have the problems with thea acts of the christians who played havoc with the original teachings of Jesus, abondoned the law and what he had come to do for the Jews only and made him into a god. Telling you allthat is no hatred. But your hatred is evident whenever you use bad words about Islam or Muhammad.**.
What an essentially fallacious argument this is! I have read your Koran from the beginning to the end, and I am not an imam now! Let me repeat, you know absolutely nothing about our scripture. Your so-called knowledge is false since it is based on Islamic hearsay.**
Why should I read your book from beginnign to end. I have no intention of becoming a Padre. What I read is enough to satisfy me for the good things of the bible and for the bad things of the present day church.**.
The title “Son of God”, when applied to Jesus, denotes His being a divine person equal to God. Thus, we mean Jesus is God when we say Jesus is the Son of God.**
I do not wonder why he said that he was not the son of God. It was real thing. He knew about himself what he was. But he did not know what people would do in his name after him. That is making him the god and the son of God at the same time. Quite an impossible task: To be god and to be the son of the god at same time, dual personality? On top of that to be a man and the son of a man at the same time. Interesting faculty or difficulty.**.
Now you are for the second time trying to correct Jesus and presenting your alternative as the clear statement.**
Again the same problem. His message would have been more clear and strong if he had said that he was before Abraham.**.
It is probably because your remarks are not clear enough LOL . I never believe that the Jews were right in accusing Jesus of blasphemy because I never consider Jesus’ answer and remarks blasphemous. He told the truth. Please stop attributing to me the faulty sense you somehow derive from my explanation.**
Again you are providing proof to the Jews that they were right and Jesus was indeed guilty of blasphemy. But you do not understand.**.
What you are bringing up is actually irrelevant. If I had wanted to discuss the meaning of the title “the Son of Man”, I would not have underlined the sentence “You have said it”. My reference to Matthew’s Gospel aimed to prove that Jesus meant YES whenever He answered the people questioning Him with the sentence “You have said so”.**
It is irrelevant. Here Jesus is calling himself the son of man. Why don’t you believe that he was a son of a man and not son of a God. Why you have got such complicated formulae.?**.
Dear planten, I see no problems that need solutions. I know better than you that Christianity emphasises the personal responsibility for one’s sins. No ordinary sinful human can carry the burden of others. The only human who can save us from our sins and give us life is Jesus, whom you have no right to refer to as “someone else”. He is the sinless Savior sent by the Father for the salvation of mankind.**
Dear angel, you please solve your own problem. Your religion teaches youtaht every one will carry his own cross. Yet you people believe that some one gave his life to redeem your sins. We cannot understand those things**.
Since God is definitely and naturally more intelligent than you Muslims, He knows that we do not worship those graven images.** I forgot to remind you that in the OT it was strictly told that you will not make any graven images. You have violated that order. There is no excuse for that, I hope**.
Amen - that’s all I’ve seen here. Jesus is called God so clearly in John 1:1 - Muslims claim a different word is used for “God” in the two instances, but they’re from the same base and differ by one letter because of the verbs associated with them. In both cases, the word is Θεός. So Jesus is God. Hooray.spread lies about Jesus’ true message, aim to distort Jesus’ truth
You mean everything present in the Church is worshipped by Christians? LOL I wonder when you will falsely blame us for worshipping candles, glasses, pews, curtains…If you are not worshipping the statues then what is the use of having them there in the church? You are very close to idolatory, only a step away from it.
The Islamic knowledge of Christianity and the New Testament can be best expressed by the word “ignorance”.Amen - that’s all I’ve seen here. They prey on those struggling in their faith, hoping that these lies will cause them to convert. It’s a disgusting practice, if you ask me, but hopefully they’re not aware of the evil that they’re spreading.
He is Risen!
And I hope it really is ignorance - either way, they’re being used as instruments of Satan. It’s just whether they know it or not. To knowingly distort Jesus’ words like that…well it can only come from one place. The Islamic knowledge of Christianity and the New Testament can be best expressed by the word “ignorance”.
I wish they were honest at least!![]()
Then what about your kaba or your group prayer?in Jama’at prayer each row gives prostration to front row and every row do this to prayer leader.is not idolatory?and you also kiss the black stone during hajj,is it not idolatory?and you know that meccan pagan ritual was hajj then?how can you say that we are very close to idolatory?you(muslims) are very close to idolatory because your ritual and their rituals are same.so who is close to idolatory?catholics or muslims? If you are not worshipping the statues then what is the use of having them there in the church? You are very close to idolatory, only a step away from it.
many sinners such as liars , hijackers etc can be forgiven on the last day because of their some good deeds.Muslim Woman, I have a question
My Sunni friend told me that murder is unforgivable in Islam…
My Sunni friend told me that murder is unforgivable in Islam. I asked her if she was sure, since God’s Mercy is infinite, and she said it was a fact.
Hello Matt and good mornin,Is that true?
Matt
Salaam/peace
backbiting make our fasting invalid.
salaam, am not talking about blasphemy…my question was rather simple : is there a punishment for killing/offending/torturing innocent people with words?
salaam, am not talking about blasphemy…my question was rather simple :
inJESUS;4206561:
this reminded of another imp thing. Please make your question plain. Do you mean "Is there a punishment for insulting any innocent person?"
If anyone slanders any innocent women without proof , then there is a severe punishment.
Surely those who accuse chaste believing women, unaware (of the evil), are cursed in this world and the hereafter, and they shall have a grievous chastisement.
On the day when their tongues and their hands and their feet shall bear witness against them as to what they did.
Chapter light : 24: 23-24]
time for Isha & Tarabi . InshaAllah ( God Willing ) will give more info later.
PS. A reminder to my sisters & brothers in Islam . This night could be the night of power
"We have indeed revealed this (message) in the Night of Power.
And what will explain to thee what the Night of Power is?
The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
Therein come down the angels and the spirit by God’s permission, on every
errand: Peace! This until the rise of Morn." (Surah 97: Verses 1-5)
inJESUS;4206561:
yes there is death punishment for adultry (if married) and flogging if not, mutilation to thieves, and you say some sins deserve death because they affect innocent people and ruin families… what about a punishment for “words” which are worse than adultry or theft? Please make your question plain. Do you mean "Is there a punishment for insulting any innocent person?"
some sins are punished in Isalm here on earth…some are not punished…you just repent…where is justice in thsi case?** That sin will be something done against will of God. God has the power to forgive The people of Jonas were forgiven whem they repented and asked for forgiveness. It is all in the bible too. If God is doing anything, we should not ask Him where is your Justice.**
how can you compensate for sins by that which you must do whether you sin or not?Needs the original problem to be understood properly. It is not necessary to ask many questions at the same time.
