because you’re asking simple questions about fundamental aspects of the catholic faith in relation to how the church has authority to teach Truth.

read the cathecism

The Baha’i view (not official) is He was raised. Spiritually. He has come again. Therefore our faith would not be in vain

I dont think you’ve read the catechism. Read the whole thing then come back.

I can’t do anything for your belief that I’ve not read, but I digress

you’re asking really simple questions about the fundamentals of church teaching pertaining to the authority of the church in matters of teaching truth…if you’ve read the catechism you’d know the answers.

The question boils down to “the Church is infallible because it says so, and because it says so, that saying is then correct”

But the laity are made to share in the priestly, prophetical, and kingly office of Christ; they have therefore, in the Church and in the world, their own assignment in the mission of the whole People of God."387 Finally, "from both groups [hierarchy and laity] there exist Christian faithful who are consecrated to God in their own special manner and serve the salvific mission of the Church through the profession of the evangelical counsels."388

No one - no individual and no community - can proclaim the Gospel to himself: "Faith comes from what is heard."391 No one can give himself the mandate and the mission to proclaim the Gospel.

but then:
This fact presupposes ministers of grace, authorized and empowered by Christ. From him, bishops and priests receive the mission and faculty (“the sacred power”) to act in persona Christi Capitis; deacons receive the strength to serve the people of God in the diaconia of liturgy, word and charity, in communion with the bishop and his presbyterate.
how?

Thanks for the clarification of the Bible. But nonetheless, we’re back where we started. How do you know that the Church is infallible? If it wasn’t written by Jesus, then we only have the claims of those closest to Him. Which isn’t to say they aren’t reliable, but then their reliability stems from interpretation. It does not say in the Bible who has authority to interpret it as such, so where does the infallible authority come from?

On a side note, is the Catechism infallible? I don’t understand its status fully. And would a practicing Catholic use it, kind of in addition to the Bible or no?
We know that the Church is infallible because Jesus founded it, and He promised to send the Holy Spirit to guide it throughout the ages. Jesus is God. Jesus proved His claims not only through fulfilling all the Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah, He proved His claims through miracles and authority over life itself. Thus His bodily resurrection after the horrible crucifixion was the ultimate proof of His claim.

Jesus from all eternity was the Second Person of the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). It was the Second Person of the Trinity that became the historical man Jesus. Jesus is 100% Man and 100% God. This mystery is called the Hypostatic Union. Jesus came to save us from sin by offering Himself in reparation for our sins and to teach us the Truth that leads a soul to salvation to have a share in God’s Eternal Life (Heaven). As Jesus said: So that your joy may be complete

To grasp the Holy Trinity, realize that the words “Father” “Son” and “Holy Spirit” are just human terms for us to be able to grasp the Mystery of God and to begin to understand Who and What God is: The “Father” is the Eternal Thought behind the universe. the “Son” is the Eternal “Word” of God; “Word” is the phrase used in the English Bible to translate the Greek word Logos Logos represents the rationality behind the universe. We get the word Logic from Logos.

A good analogy is your mind. Your mind begets a word and then you speak it, so the “Father” begets the Son (the Word) and from the Love between the Father and Son comes forth the Holy Spirit. But God is a relationship of Persons: One God Three Persons.

The Gospel of John begins:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. -John 1:1-14

They believe all that, and they believe Bahá’u’lláh was the second coming of Christ.

Then all they have to do is read what Jesus said would happen at the Second Coming. But I doubt most of them actually know these basic truths. Most Catholics who leave Catholicism never knew their faith in the first place.

Thank you for your reply, sincerely appreciated, I started searching the Internet to learn more, however, it still makes no sense to me, perhaps I could be clearer?

Set 1: the set containing all faith types who accept the divinity of Jesus Christ.

Set 2: the set containing all faith types who reject the divinity of Jesus Christ.

Baha’i faith: appears to be stating that Set 1 faith types and Set 2 faith types are both true.

Question 1: How can it be possible to both accept and reject the divinity of Christ?

This has interesting implications, for example, Baha’i faith claims that heaven, hell and Satan are simply symbolic whereas Jesus Christ spoke about their real existence.

Question 2: Is Jesus truly divine or not because that response contributes to whether Jesus is speaking truthfully or falsely?

One final example, Jesus stated:

Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.” (John 20:21-23)

This means Jesus gave authority to forgive sins, however, Baha’u’llah condemned the Catholic practice of confessing one’s sins to a priest:

When the sinner findeth himself wholly detached and freed from all save God, he should beg forgiveness and pardon from Him. Confession of sins and transgressions before human beings is not permissible, as it hath never been nor will ever be conducive to divine forgiveness. Moreover such confession before people results in one’s humiliation and abasement, and God—exalted be His glory—wisheth not the humiliation of His servants. Verily He is the Compassionate, the Merciful.” (Tablets of Baha’u’llah, page 24)

Question 3: how can we reconcile that Jesus and Baha’u’llah are both speaking truthfully, which again calls into question the divinity or not of Jesus Christ?

Overarching summary question: Dear friend, your response attracts many more questions, when it comes to fully accepting what all faith types believe. Even the fallen angels and Satan apparently “believe” in the divinity of Jesus Christ, though not all faith types believe this to be true, including the Baha’i Faith, though they still claim all faith types are true by progressive revelation. Put simply, if we matched the Nicene Creed against summaries of other faith types, there are so many differences between faith types that using logic and reason, how is it possible that all of these faith types could be true through the lens of progressive revelation?

God’s Choicest Blessings to you and all your dear ones, now and for all eternity.

I’m been through thousands of post with them on the old forum . You can never pin them down on nothing, because Baha’u’llah is every possible thing you can imagine… he’s the manifestation of everything holy and good .

God does not contradict Himself. The issue is that they do not have faith in Jesus Christ. While they may acknowledge Him, the fact that they claim to accept all, they end up denying Christ.

Of all the claimants, only Christ fulfilled the hundreds of prophecies from the Old Testament, and performed miracles to prove His claim, and conquered death as witnessed by thousands.
The only prophecy fulfilled by Baha’ullah was the one Jesus Christ made about all the false prophets that would come…

Baha’u’llah was not an Arab, he was a Persian nobleman, born in Tehran.

Not quite, since the story goes that only a sheep was sacrificed. The question of who it was that was not sacrificed is rather vague - neither Isaac nor Ishmael nor anybody else, I suppose, would be the correct answer
