I don’t like to ask for prayers for myself, but if you can spare a few I’d very much appreciated it.

I was raised in the Catholic Church. Although I’ve attended other churches over the years, a big part of my heart has never left the Church. I terribly miss the Eucharist and would very much like to attend Mass, but right not that isn’t possible and I don’t know when, or if, it ever will be. To make a long story a little shorter, I now live in a very small town, with the nearest Catholic church over 17 miles away. My husband is disabled, and we just can’t afford the gas to go there. I’ve asked, but there is no one in town to give me a ride. Moving is out of the question. I’m trying to hang onto some sort of spiritual and prayer life, but it gets more difficult all the time. It doesn’t help that I suffer from severe depression.

As I said before, I’ve tried. I’ve even considered attending the one non-evangelical church around, a Methodist one, just so I can pray with others in (sort of) the manner I miss so much. The people are nice, but it isn’t home and I really don’t think I’m meant to be a Methodist.

Sometimes I feel so desperate and depressed I can hardly stand it, but I have to hold on for my husband and kids. I don’t know what to do except to try to pray more. If you would, please send up a prayer or two for my family and for me. Thank you so much.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Hail Mary,
Full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou amongst women
And blessed is the fruit of Thy womb,
Jesus
Holy Mary
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of death,
Amen.

+In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.+

Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word incarnate, despise not my petitions, but, in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

+In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.+

Praying for you…
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Fatima, Amen!

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.
