Greetings my brothers and sisters.

I’m a frequent lurker, occasional poster. I searched a bit to see if any threads popped up about the mass murder spree we experienced at a large shopping mall in Omaha last Wednesday. I was one of the first responders and will forever be changed by what I saw.

On this Lord’s Day, I ask for you to pray for the repose of the dead, for the families, friends and loved ones they left behind, for all the police officers and firefighters who entered into a real live nightmare, and for the soul of the suspect (it’s almost impossibly hard for me to type that).

Here is my blog entry with appropriate links regarding the shootings.

Peace,

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary

You have my prayers. I know we often forget how hard these situations are on the first responders. May God bless you!

Definitely you have my prayers. As the prayers of the victims in today’s Colorado shootings as well. Also, my son’s school, Northern Illinois University is on high alert as the results of a Virginia Tech style threat being written on a dorm wall this evening. Tomorrow finals begin too. Please pray for peace and the end of this violence.
