Just an update. Today i will appear in court and I am still scared out of my witts. Yes I have spoken to many friends, family and members of my parish and they all have forgiven me for my actions. My attorney said I didnt have to attend todays case but i will still go in good faith. In a lot of ways i still feel remorse for what i have done but know this is a HUGE learning lesson for me. I will pray this all will go smoothly and will be over really soon. Thank you all for the support.

Another little update. Finally got done with the courts. Thank goodness it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Took a plea bargain even though I didn’t fully agree to the amount it cost. On the other hand I can pay it off within 10 months. Also finally found work after being unemployed for 7 months so that will help things too. Only got 15 hours of Community Service sorting out computer parts at my local Goodwill Computer Works stor. Did 13 out of 15 hours so far only because electricity went out today due to a trucker hitting a couple of electrical poles. 2 more hours won’t hurt me at all. Also did all the hours in 3 days which and taking it easy compared to a few people who still haven’t completely figured out what they did was wrong. Although I still am somewhat kicking myself in the foot for what I did I am glad this has gotten over with and hopefully within 10 months I can file for a non-disclosure agreement so it would be sealed.

texasmavs1985, another poster mentioned confession. That’s a very important step to take. More important than going to court. Do your penance and promise the Lord not to do it again. Guilt will only eat you alive. Work on repairing your relationships, with your family first. If your friends cannot forgive, get new ones. You’ve committed a bad sin, but you are not a bad person. He will forgive you. You must forgive yourself, also.

From the Diary of St. Faustina:

Jesus said: “…the greater the sinner, the greater the mercy. Summon all those to confidence in the incomprehensible depth of My Mercy for I desire to save all. The well of Mercy was opened wide with a lance on the Cross for all souls. I do not exclude anyone.”

Tomorrow, I will pray for you when I say my Chaplet.

I know this will bump this thread in the forums but I have a little update for my situation. I have completed my community service and I am one month away from paying off the court fines. I am thankful that my probation officer has been there for me 100%. Found out she went to high school with my supervisor at work which benefited me in the end. Although my relationship with my family is still in pretty bad shape, mainly with my father, I am hopeful that once the case is dismissed I can start rebuilding my relations.
