Asking for prayers.

Hi,

I haven’t been on here in a very long time but am now finding myself in a place where I need prayers from people who, I know, are faithful, but do not know me.

A week ago my world was shaken when my 19 year old son, the oldest of our seven kids, told me that he is gay.

I know what the Church teaches, and I know that he has been given a very heavy cross. My husband and I are heartbroken and grieving. Very thankful for organizations like Courage, which I found on this group.

Thank you for praying for my family. We have a lot to think about now.

Prayed that you and your husband find the strength to cope with this news, and that your love for your son can help you guide him in a way that will help him make the right choices in life. God bless you all - this is such a difficult situation that many parents have to face…
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Thank you, Lord, for each other. Give us support, understanding and appreciation for where we are in our journey. Grant us the serenity to understand the precious ones you have given us and your will for them. Turn the darkness around us into light.

Lord, open the hearts and eyes of the parents who have abandoned their children and bring back those special children who have left your church. Help all our church leaders to show compassion in their ministry.

All loving God, we place all our thoughts and doubts, biases and viewpoints, plans and confusion into your hands. Lead us in your way. In your will is peace.
