Loving Father, at times during life we have sinned against others, against ourselves, and against You.
We have offended Your goodness and we may have denied You the joy of blessings that You wish for us and for others through our words and acts. You alone know the entire consequences of our failures.
Yet, Father, Jesus assures us that You joyfully celebrate our return from sin, and run to welcome and reclaim us as Your own.
Therefore, with Your grace, we want to value ourselves as Your child, knowing that all worth and holiness comes from You.
In trust, we will not accuse ourselves for sins already forgiven and absolve
or accuse ourselves for temptation where we have not actually sinned.
Please bring out of our failures, such fruits of these new opportunities enhanced beyond all previous expectation, for from our human betrayal of Your divine plan of Creation though our sins and rebellion, Your mercy wrought the magnificent plan of redemption that reverberates through time and eternity!
Father, look on those tasks of love and service that we fail to undertake or to complete, and where possible, bring them to completion.
In Your mercy, please transform into good all that we may spoil though our weakness or ignorance.
Please give blessing that is abundant beyond original possibility, to anyone we ever harm or deprive.
May we so belong to You, may we be so transformed by Your love, that nothing that impedes Your will in and through our lives.
