Asking God to contradict human wisdom

But if my potential employer knows I am the wrong man for the job, am I not asking God to make him make a bad decision?

God expects us and employers to use prudential judgment. If you know you aren’t right for the job–don’t have the expertise, then why pray to get it? Better to pray that God will lead you to the right position that matches your skills. It’s not all a matter of prayer, but of what we do, as well.

That’s not the question I expected! 🙂 I thought it might be about, like, what if two teams or two armies each pray fervently to God to help them win. Kind of silly from the outside, I think! 🙂

We can ask, and it is always good to add “if it is Your Holy Will”. Then keep praying and trust that He will open the right door for you.
