When one knowingly/unknowingly offends someone, even without them knowing, is one obliged to ask for their forgiveness?
I have a bit of a weakness, I usually can’t hold my tongue when I see humor in something and sometimes say some comments that I should have kept to myself:blush: I sometimes say things that might be taken offensively by others, which isn’t usually my intention. And since my srcuples still lurk around, I usually feel bad about it and go apologize to the person who sometimes doesn’t even remember what I said. Would I be obliged to do this everytime I let my tongue slip?

I do apologize about 98% of the time. I usually feel bad until I do. Im not sure if you are obliged to unless you know you really offended somebody.
I apologize even if I dont know if I offended them.
I am a people pleaser and dont want people mad at me. Plus the HS just nags at me till I do the right thing.
