When one knowingly/unknowingly offends someone, even without them knowing, is one obliged to ask for their forgiveness? I have a bit of a weakness, I usually can’t hold my tongue when I see humor in something and sometimes say some comments that I should have kept to myself:blush: I sometimes say things that might be taken offensively by others, which isn’t usually my intention. And since my srcuples still lurk around, I usually feel bad about it and go apologize to the person who sometimes doesn’t even remember what I said. Would I be obliged to do this everytime I let my tongue slip?

I think you should apologize when you see that someone is offended at the time. Other than that, remember that not everyone has the same standards (scruples) that you do and may not find the things you say to be offensive at all. Apologizing when they aren’t offended to begin with is a great way to start trouble you never intended.

I am the same way:( I do apologize about 98% of the time. I usually feel bad until I do. Im not sure if you are obliged to unless you know you really offended somebody.🤷 I apologize even if I dont know if I offended them.:o I am a people pleaser and dont want people mad at me. Plus the HS just nags at me till I do the right thing.👍

OH I have the same prob and I agree the HS will definitely lean on you when necessary. Trust in that. You know I have been praying to listen more than to speak. I know my DH would love me for it!!!

Don’t take yourself too seriously either, God loves you and others do too.
