Wow! I thought I was the only one who referred to it that way. I fully agree about that. I am not all that well “read” on what went on, though I’m familiar w/it as an overview. I understand that Luther actually had no intention of leaving the church, & was manipulated by the secular authorities.The only book I tried to read was by Hilare Belloc & it seemed too much for me…he was obviously a very smart guy (Belloc).
Still…being a “revert” I can see no justifiable reason for the schism that occured & find the new doctrines that came out of it corruptions of the real truths of Christianity. The greatest loss of all being the Holy Eucharist.
