I was hesitant do do anything like this at first, out of fear that it might be construed as “attention seeking”. However a number of people have PMd me asking for updates on my situation, and also a few of the Prayer Warriors here who said I am welcome to post weekly updates or something like that. So here is my first attempt.
First of all, this was the original thread. Wow I sound really sad.

In a nutshell: I have Asperger’s syndrome, which has led to various problems in my life, especially in the last couple of months. Compounding the problem is that the vast majority of people out there aren’t familiar with AS and it’s hard to find any kind of help or guidance.
Things are a lot better since the last time around. Actually I look back at that thread and I’m a little bit surprised how low I had sunk. It’s no picnic now either, but it seems like the problems that are here… I’m just better equipped to handle them or something? For whatever reason I just don’t get nearly as overwhelmed now.
Well this is the biggest problem I’m currently facing, anyway… finances. So if you could pray for me please keep that specifically in your intentions I’d appreciate it. Finding a job seemed to be going alright until one of my aspie issues interfered with performing job duties (had to listen to customers on the phone while other people in the room wouldn’t shut up). This just skyrocketed my anxiety but other people seemed to be able to handle it. One of the things with Asperger’s is that it’s very hard to filter out background talk from the speech that you’re trying to focus on and everything just gets garbled up into a bunch of random words in my brain. Often people with AS will also be misdiagnosed as having some kind of auditory processing disorder because of this, in fact.
But yeah, I may not be despairing like in the last note (which surprises me) but the issues I’m facing are serious nonetheless. Now I need another job FAST, because quite honestly it’s gotten to the point where I won’t even be able to feed myself for the next week and from that point on it only gets worse. I never thought I would see myself ever sink this low.
Thank you again for your continued prayers, everyone.
