You use second life?

Seems some sims have a lot of peopl. I think what is killing sl off is there seems to be less word of mouth about it,and most places will ban you for discussing it. Like they want the game to die or such.

I have and found that Catholic sim welcoming. I might log in again some day. I think the future of these sorts of things is in VR though I haven’t gotten into that. There is a lot of potential for people to connect around the world who otherwise can’t, like I remember chatting with disabled war veterans.

I think FB took the spotlight away from SL. I wonder how long before Facebook gets shut down by investigators.

And there are people on it.(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

Fair certain the popular uses of Second Life aren’t going to be popular here among this crowd.

I wonder what people mean it’s a ghost town, when there are clearly people on the thing.

Because they say it’s a deserted ghost-town that nobody’s using.

But there are people on it,so i wonder how they even say that when there are people on it.

The population is waning but many sims still have huge populations.

That thread was 10 years ago, 2009?

Have you tried any Virtual Reality? I read that’s where Linden Labs was headed towards.

Yeah.

I read that the Oculus rift was gonna be used for SL, i wonder what happened to that plan. I Have heard of LL next creation,Sansar. But it isn’t available for Imac,so i can’t use it.

I’m also Roman Catholic. Baptized at birth way back when i was really young.

I think if there are some who like COD or similar combat games, there is combat on sl

Thanks for bringing this subject up. I find it very interesting and I can see an attraction to this form of visual. Looked at the Second Life site and can advise you NOT to sign on and use it. It is NOT a good site, NOT Catholic, misleading and immoral suggestions plus hoping to get some money from you.
There are other visual games of cities, homes, recreation with characters and activities to share. Please try to find those type of simulated participation. If they are good according to what you have learned from your Catholic teaching, they will be okay and good practice.
Good luck!

Wut

The way you phased your post makes it confusing.

I know that LL made a VR thing called Sansar, but i think that would make me sick.

I have played a flight sim and i have gotten dizzy from using it,so i think a VR game would make me really sick.

Probably would. Stick to the building towns, or other places and have a good time.

There is both good stuff and bad stuff in the game.

The adult content has been mostly moved to a new region in the game. A while back, they made a policy to get adult content out of mature regions.

I thank them for it.

And that claim about sl being bad.

You can avoid the bad stuff. I have. I have unchecked “adult” so i don’t go to that kind of stuff.

They also have second life combat on there as well.

Don’t let anyone discourage from doing what you want.

Plus the thing about getting some money from you.

Don’t games like WOW,various games on Steam and such require money as well?
