Assasination of Maphrian/Catholicos in the earlier centuries

During my research on syriac christianity, I found that many maphrians or catholicos of middle east were assasinated due to the conflicts between patriarchate and catholicate in relation with SOC, SCC, Church of the east and caldean church in connection with Islamic rulers. Can anybody give an account of these incidents?
