Assumption of Mary

Don’t you think if Mary went to heaven,body and soul it would be in the bible.In fact it doesn’t say much about Mary at all.So what happened to her after Jesus died and she went to live with John?

1. If all the Apostles sans John were murdered for the faith, you’d think more than 2 would be in the bible. Why only James and Paul? Did all the others live to old age and die of natural causes?
2. If there were 12 apostles you’d think that more than 1/3 would have something inspired to record in the bible after all those years.
3. If the NT Bible is inspired wouldn’t the bible at least name some of the books, yet not a one is listed or even claims direct inspiration for its entirety. The bible neglects to name any of the NT books as belonging to the bible.
4. I have no idea who came up with the novel idea that a NT bible was even necessary. If so, which Apostle did?
5. To even believe in the NT bible, and exacly 27 books, we have to rely on something or someone outside the bible.
6. Most of the Apostles that wrote at all, including the most prolific one, Paul, were likely long dead by the end of Mary’s life.
7. The Assumption may well have been a private event and not a public one.
8. The bible doesn’t even tell us that Christ has 2 complete natures in one divine Person…one of the very foundations of the Christian profession.
9. That John you speak of with Mary writes:
   Apocalypse 1119 And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple, and there were lightnings, and voices, and an earthquake, and great hail.
   So, what exactly is an “Ark of His testament”? Who, exactly testified to his testament of the incarnation and virgin birth or that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit? Who is the ONLY one who knew this from first hand knowledge? Where do think all that information came from. Certainly not any apostle. And the Gospels do not record Jesus as saying any such things so directly. Mary speaks through the Gospel writers concerning the whole early life of Christ, and events leading to His Incarnation. That’ a lot of Mary, I say.
   An ARK is a carrier or housing or abode in the Scriptural sense. Did Mary act as the ARK of the Lord God at any time?
   Apocalypse 12 :1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman (same name Jesus addresses to His Mother at the Cross, and throughout the NT like Cana, same Name God addresses her in Genesis) clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
   Why, exactly is this sign so great as it points to a mere woman?
   In any case:
   2 Thessalonians 2 :14 Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and* hold the traditions* which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle.

I assume you make this inquiry from interest to know since you say your religion is “N/A”.
On the other hand, if you are a protestor of this dogma, know that between CM, myself, and about 20 other Catholic Marines on this Forum, have met every objection about a bziillion times in about a bzillion different ways.
