Are Assyrian Christians a part of the Catholic Church in union with Rome?

The Chaldean Catholic Church is.

The Assyrian Church of the East is not. Neither is it in communion with the Eastern Orthodox (Chalcedonian) or the Oriental Orthodox (non-Chalcedonian) churches.

At least one Catholic Church is known as an “Assyrian Chaldean Catholic Church”.

The Chaldean Catholic Church is comprised primarily of Assyrian Christians. Assyrian Christians are found in the Chaldean Catholic Church and in the Church of the East.

The Assyrian Church of the East was said to be Nestorian. However thanks to ecumenical dialog in 1994 the Katholikos (chief patriarch) met with Pope St. John Paul II and signed a declaration recognizing Mary as the Mother of God.

I hesitate to apply the label to the Church of the East. Plus the fact that there is limited intercommunion between it and the Chaldean church, we’re probably more alike than unlike.
