I already have had one actually, all I would like to say is that fate does not negate free will. we do not control our fate, we control how we meet it, and thats whats important.

Many people are given the choice to induce. Many do it on a special day close to the due date. Such as 12/12/12.

Do you really think God wills people to make decisions based on this?

The same faulty logic for horoscopes is in your philosophy on this.
The idea that we are not in control of our own choices and lives. God does not orchestrate life threatening medical emergencies, nor the idea that it is fun to have a baby on a certain day. Sin is the cause of medical problems anyway, not God.
Really, put a little thought into what you are saying. Because it does not jive with Catholic thought.

Please read what I’ve said. I am talking about free will not fatalism, and choices people make based on medical advise. Are you saying we shouldn’t trust doctors? I am not aware that the Catholic Church would reject medical sciences.

And the point I was making about astrology, that it also believes in free will. So yes, we are in control of our own life!!! I appologise if I wasn’t clear about this in my previous comment…

That is a good way of explaining it. Even catholics believe in “fate” when they say that God determines the hour of our death for example…so catholics believe in “fate” to about the same extent as e.g. astrologers I would say…
