At the end of the world when Jesus comes, what happens to people who still need purgatory?

Welcome to CAF! Hope we can keep on helping explain where we’re coming from!

Thank you kindly for your explanations.
philippians 2 v 12 , …work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
End…
I believe that is by… Grace alone I am saved ,my grace is sufficient for you…
by the death and resurrection of Jesus, who conquered Sin and Death ,and…anyone who calls upon the name of Jesus even in the last hour will be saved…
of course this does not mean knowingly going through life and just in case call on his name, to be saved ,it comes from the Heart, Those who first believe in their Hearts and trust in the lord. We are to spread the good news which is our duty to do .God sees me through Jesus who interceedes for me, Jesus died for my sins, only once not twice or more,( for me personally) if I accept purgatory ,I personally deny the meaning of why Jesus died for me,any ritual added on to Jesus words, take away for me what Jesus taught ,so I then look into where these teachings come from as I see it add ons, origins,
Laws added on if you like. which I see being taught by man. I ask forgiveness of my sins through jesus ( as the torn curtain reveals our way to God through Jesus, the one and only Living Melchizedek )
I do not understand, looking through different versions of Mary visiting people
( apparitions ? ) when no-one tests these spirits as scripture says to.
Least of all one example I read, lest you wrap yourselves in this cloth to protect you from
( I think it was ) Hell fire? many other instancies I find amazing,…
Jesus is the Way the Truth the Life. No Man comes to God accept through me ,Jesus cannot be persuaded by any being, so you see my amazement.

Would you explain please what happens at Mass?. Do people really believe in spirits returning to them, when there is a wide divine which cannot be crossed between Hell and Earth, and when these spirits visit ,they may sound and look good why are they not tested as per scripture to see if it is a demon I wonder? Many Thanks ,Blessings to you .
Mass is the representation of the sacrifice of Jesus. “It is good Friday, Holy thursday, and Easter Sunday made present.” (wiki.answers.com/Q/What_happens_during_a_Catholic_mass)

I’m not quite sure how to explain it. You should probably ask in the Ask an Apologist forum, or call in to Catholic Answers Live and ask.

Remember the parable of the land owner who hired workers for his fields in the morning. Paying them a certain amount. Then he hired more workers in the afternoon and some at the end of the day.

He paid them all the same amount. The ones that had worked the fields the longest asked why he was paying them the same amount if they had not worked as long as they had.

It will be like that with Purgatory. The ones that have been there for a long time and the ones who just arrived.

Purgatory is not a second chance it is an interim passage on the way to eternal life. It is required for those who are not 100 percent pure or clean by God’s standard. Think of Purgatory as a needed shower before entering the pure presence of God. How hot and how long that shower is depends on how much one’s soul needs cleansing.

That’s the analogy that helped me when I first began entertaining the possible truths of the Catholic Church.

You have to be pure in order to enter heaven. 100% pure.
How many of us have died/will die entirely pure? Without even the stain of sin? Our sins are forgiven, sure, but the stains are still there.
There are some who may be purified by martyrdom. Some very holy saints might even die entirely ready for heaven. (Mary was so pure that she was assumed body and soul directly into heaven!!!)
The vast majority of us require some cleansing. Some people may only need to rinse their hands. Others will have to be scrubbed very hard. Many/most of us will have a long soak in a very hot bath …
