What is truth?

Hmmm, that’s exactly what Pontius Pilate (he committed suicide) said to Jesus.

Ever since I have really embraced my faith and embraced Jesus and pray everyday, I find atheism to be actually insulting…I feel atheist are insulting Jesus, and I can’t help it but take it personal…It’s like when I watch the crucifixion scene in a movie, I get so angry at the people laughing at my Jesus! does anyone else feel this way?..I wish I didn’t feel this way, I don’t want to hurt their feelings, and I’m friends with some atheists…as long as we don’t talk about religion, we get along…I think at one time in my life, I was possibly agnostic, but at my lowest point, I was never atheist…I just don’t understand it…How could a person not love Jesus…?

I have similar situations with some friends and I have some friends who try to probe the topic with agnostic/atheist friends and much bickering insues. Really, at least in the case of those I know (these are not great scientists or philosophers or anything just teenagers - so this might not apply) Anyway, I think it has to do with if you accept Jesus you have to acknowledge your cross and that might mean turning from old habits or beliefs. The truth can smack them in the face but if its \incompatible with their current ideology they won’t listen. I know i do stupid things often times but i also get frustrated when ppl just don’t get something (sometimes its b/c i’m bad at explaining things ) so I do get frustrated and try to avoid it, but it makes me wonder if i should try and talk to them or if this will only isolate them more.

I guess the best answer seems to be prayer and some subtle references good luck and God bless

Charles, can you tell me why all of the “relics” of your Darwinist faith have been hoaxes? The peppered moths, Piltdown Man, Nebraska Man, Haeckel’s drawings… All hoaxes. Where are the intermediate fossils? You would think we would have found a clear line of descent by now, wouldn’t you? Apparently, Charles never questions his Darwinist faith though. Can you guys imagine fervently believing in a religion that is only a little over 100 years old, but is replete with hoaxes in such a short time? Impressive for such a recent creation. The Pope doesn’t “accept” evolution. He has said that if evolution proves to be true, then it does not effect the truth of our faith. This is because the issue is not about our bodies but about the time that the human soul, human consciousness entered the body for the first time. Sure, if evolution had something to recommend it, I’d consider it. As it is, it’s just a joke with a tawdry history of hoaxes.
