Please pray for my friend, Andrew, who refuses to make his Confirmation next year. He doesn’t believe in God. The religious ed coordinator at my church tried talking to him, but he’s stubborn and for whatever reason doesn’t want to believe. I feel badly because he’s really missing out on so much. I hope that someday he’ll change his mind. God really loves him, and I’m sure He’ll welcome Andrew back with open arms when the time comes. Thank you for your prayers.

Andrew is very blessed to have your prayer and caring for his soul. If he can’t believe right now, well, he can’t believe, and he’s showing personal integrity in not going along with something he doesn’t believe in. God can draw him back in His own time, and I’m sure your prayers will be part of what will draw Andrew back some day, if not sooner.
 
Lord, please grant Andrew a personal encounter with you in order that his heart and mind may be moved to know and love you. Draw him to your Sacred Heart, dear Jesus, so that he can be saved. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Maybe he is secretly afraid of God so he doesn’t want to believe? Or he thinks he’s not good enough so he’d go to hell anyway so why bother. I’ve heard about people who don’t believe in an afterlife because it scares them.

You’ll need to pray for him and answer his questions when he is ready to ask. Let him know that no sin is too big for God to forgive and that God loves him. Nobody is perfect and God is ready and willing to forgive repented sins.
