Atheist to catholic conversion?

Would anyone be willing to share what helped them convert from atheism to Catholicism? I really struggle with the existence of God and I really think it would help to hear what helped others develop belief .
 
I read all about our lady of fatima

Also the many incorrupt bodies of saints made me think.

However, try praying, those who seek will find
 
Fatima is truly miraculous but I have a hard time with the incorruptibles especially because it could be due to storage or the coffins they were laid in. Or even humidity regionally speaking. I wish my mind would just accept this all on faith.
 
they recently had a peak at this guy called solanus casey who may be a saint in the future, his coffin was soaked and filled with water, but the guy remains perfect, it was like he died an hour ago.
 
What’s the issue? A problem of the will or the intellect? There is millenia old philosophical tradition in the Church to delve into, lots of (proper) study to be had, many miracles to learn of.

And you can look into the suffering eyes of those in need, and the loving hand of the one who helps, and the great bulwark of the ocean, the magnificent splendor of the trees.

Or just think, meditate upon the fact of existence itself. And, an ordered existence at that. The world screams for the metaphysical reality underlying the physical. There is no known mechanism for matter to know itself and think of the abstract.
 
Try reading CS Lewis, Mere Christianity, and/or God in the Dock. Both have a perspective on what seems to be troubling you. In the second one, he puts God on trial. The dock on the title is the prisoner dock of an English court…

Maybe a bit of both I struggle to see God personally I don’t feel him or experience him. I understand the philosophy of why a God likely exists but I do not know him. I fear mankind corrupts religion or it could be out of fear of non existence. I need to open my heart and I’m trying by taking advantage of the sacraments (confession and mass,) I won’t receive communion until I fully believe. I pray the rosary daily and an emergency novena. I am so scared of the alternative of non existence that it makes me question whether God exists. Sorry for the drawn out response I hope you know it means the world to me that you have taken time out of your day to help me.
 
At this point I would give my life for that just to know God exists for one second. I’d surrender my career or lack of one (ha ha) to be whatever is needed to draw people back to God! But I struggle :/.
 
Ask Him for a sign. Get a crucifix and an icon and pray before them for a sign as often as you remember to do so.
I pray for you and for your protection so that the deceivers of soul do not get in the way between you and Christ.

Indeed, pray for faith perhaps.

You are praying a novena, go to confession, attend mass, pray, etc. I think you already believe. You don’t have to be absolutely certain without a doubt at all. Do what you would if you had certain knowledge, and I think it would help you.
 
I really appreciate this I’ll definitely read this and ask for her intercession.
