I say that the appearance of apparent intelligent design is initiated by the natural selection of possibilities, whether bilogical variants or possible values of constants. Darwin devoted his life to the biological aspect of evolution, and 99.9% of all scientists agree with the main principles. What do you think of this?
Conclusion: Something intelligent and non-physical created those physical laws, because that which is not predisposed to be intrinsically ordered can only be put in to order by an intelligence.
- Physical objects are subject to physical laws that don’t necessarily have to exist. (There is a possible world where no physical objects exist)
- The objects which express these laws are contingent and finite.
- Contingent finite physical objects cannot be the cause of that which they are subject to, and thus neither can they be said to be the reason for why those laws are what they are, instead of something else.
I could be wrong, but i dare say its a good foundation to a strong argument depending on what we mean be physical laws.
What say ye?
Besides, can you distinguish an object that is designed from one that is not? How do you tell? If it is just a matter of complexity, ie the difference beween a rock and a watch,-this is more a matter of a scale of complexity, than a qualitative difference. A simple swaying tree in the wind can be used as a clock or watch,-so was the tree intelligently designed to sway in the intelligently designed wind? If so, it does not leave much room for Nature at all, and we will be back to believing that all motion is caused by cherubs blowing on the trees, or pushing the planets along in perect circles. In this case nature becomes unnatural (ie “guided”). tell me, -do you consider Nature to be unnatural?
