Attain perfect contrition

Hi, brethren in Christ

I have difficult access to confession for multiple reasons. I fear of dying in mortal sin and I am aware that one option besides confession is being absolved by having a perfect contrition. Does anyone have an advice on how to achieve it?

By the way, I am not trying to replace one another. It is just a mean to be in state of grace despite waiting more than a month for confession. If I had the chance for confession, I would go for it.

First, pray a lot. I suggest the rosary- I believe Our Lady promised that those who faithfully pray the Rosary will not perish or die without the sacraments of The Church.

Ask Mary to intercede for you. And also, have a personal relationship with Jesus.

Simply ask God to give you sufficient remorse or contrition for your sins to please him, and to qualify as "perfect contrition in his eyes.

Simply tell God you’re really sorry, and mean it, and don’t sin again. Especially avoid any grave matter sins that might be mortal.

Make a daily Spiritual Communion when you can’t make a real one.

It’s good to sincerely practice some devotion on a daily basis to make sure you stay close to Jesus.
The Rosary, Brown Scapular, Miraculous Medal, St Bridget Prayers, Sacred Heart, Divine Mercy, Liturgy of the Hours, or reading Scripture devoutly are all good devotions. You don’t have to do them all. Pick something you like and will do every day or most days a week. Also ask for St. Joseph’s intercession as he helps people to have a peaceful death. It is however important that you do devotions with the sincere purpose of getting closer to God, and not as superstitious practices to stay out of Hell.

Above all, don’t worry. God knows your heart and isn’t going to play “gotcha” with you. Do go to confession when it is possible for you.

Are you still exploring a vocation? If so this is a good question for your Vocations advisors.
 
First, ask God to give it to you.

Second, think of the crucifix. It helps if you kneel before one. Think: Who is on the cross? What has happened to Him before this point and what exactly is happening to Him at this moment? (Perhaps most importantly) Why is He doing this? Why is this happening?

Hahaha, not anymore my friend. Now I am looking for a wife! It was settled last year. Still, I don’t have a spiritual director 😛… yet and it will take a long while for that to happen. Thank you for the contribution!
 
Learn to trust in God’s Providence. God has never failed anyone who put their trust in Him. If you fear you don’t have ‘Perfect Contrition’ now, then pray for anyway, and just practice having a good hope.

God hung on a cross for you. He’s demonstrated that He’s quite willing to save you.

Also when it comes to such a grace as ‘Perfect Contrition’ that’s not something you can earn, or acquire by your own effort. Those who have it, have it because they prayed for it and God gave it to them.

So just live, be thankful, pray and don’t worry.
 
To be free from all attachment to sin is one requirement for perfect contrition, if that is easy, you are blessed indeed!!
 
Marriage is a vocation. Still I see what you mean as you won’t have a vocational director for it.
I agree with what other’s have said, ask God for a contrite heart. He did say ask and you shall receive… he will give you what is good for your salvation. You may also want to try praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet or meditating on the Passion of Christ to get your contrition in the right place. Also remember you can pray the stations of the cross at any time of the year, it does not have to be Lent, this is a good way to inspire contrition, especially through the eyes of Mary for variation.
