When I went to an Extraordinary Form Mass recently, the priest announced that there was to be no Latin Mass/Extraordinary Form the following Thursday as he was to be attending an all day retreat that day but there would be a Novus Ordo Mass with the other parish priest presiding instead of the EF that day that he offered but he said the EF would be back the week after that.
Since the priest used both the Extraordinary Form and Novus Ordo terms, I have no issues with that.
