I attended my first Mass today in person (merely as an observer in the back row, long story). It was so beautiful, warm, meaningful. I could go on and on about how impressed I was with everything. A truly amazing treasure.

My first experience with a Mass was amazing, too. I used to be a Lutheran. It was very similar to a Lutheran Divine Service, only a little more “ritualistic.”

It’s all of that and more! I think of the Mass as a little peak into heaven. Welcome Home!

Wonderful, just wait till Christmas and Easter. Your welcome to “observe” anytime and I hope it brings you “Home” to the fullness of Christ’s Church. If you want a Blessing from the priest, (and it has to be a priest or deacon), you can walk up during the Communion line with your arms folded across your chest and they will give you a Blessing. Prayers for you, God Bless, Memaw

Wow!Your a JW going from Catholic?I studied with my JW grandmother for 2-3 years and eventually realized I was deceived by the false NWT. Jesus is indeed God. How did you come out of the JW faith with the twisted NWT?

Welcome home and God Bless you for seeing through the false doctrine of the JW.
You must really be moved by the Holy Spirit to seek from JW to Catholicism as it has to cost you a lot of relationship maybe Family and friends.

Must God be With you and support you on Your Journey back home.

You are in my prayers.

God Bless!

What a perfect and perfectly apt pun!!
Welcome Winston! I love walking into church and looking for that red light over the tabernacle that tells me God is home!
A book that has helped me to more fully appreciate the mass and grow in my relationship with Our Lord is
tanbooks.benedictpress.com/index.php/Latin-Mass-Explained

I hope that you get the chance to read it.
May God bless you and may you grow ever closer to Him. Amen.

Winston,

Be a part of the Body of Christ. What you witnessed(if I can use the pun) is Gods living, breathing Church, what he left behind. Not just the Bible, not just the teachings that weren’t written(Tradition), but the complete deposit of Faith and Truth. That gift can be yours if you follow his light. The Holy Spirit will guide you, trust him . We Catholics don’t own Gods Truth, but we’re commanded by our Lord to share it, and pray that persons like you receive it.

I know many fellow Catholics who were born into the faith(craddle) who don’t really understand what our Mass really means. If they did they would truly marvel at what a gift it is to our faith.

I attended my first Mass yesterday. First because it was a Tridentine Mass, though I’ve went to Novus Ordo Masses my entire life. When I was there yesterday, I was amazed, I initially felt lost having to follow the Latin. Probably how new Catholics feel attending Mass for the first time. The Mass was truly amazing with the Gregorian chant, just the solemn majesty of worshipping God. To think this is how they worshipped God dating all the way back to the Middle Ages, it makes you appreciate how our Faith endures time. Most importantly, the Mass truly gives God the respect and reverence he deserves. I love both forms of our Mass, they’re just different ways to give thanks for the Church our Lord left us with. The Catholic Faith is deep, very deep. In truth, tradition, devotion, interpretation and prayer. I can live another 40 years and I’d still have so much to learn. So what are you waiting for WInston? The Mass is the beginning of Gods calling.

ps: When you become a Catholic, it doesn’t mean you won’t have to knock on peoples doors anymore. On the contrary, I share my Faith wherever I go, to whomever wants to hear Gods Truth. I’ve even let JW enter my home. Gone are the days when I’d hide behind my refrigerator when I saw the JW knocking 😃 Many have left my home silenced with questions I asked them they could not answer. The Catholic Faith has the answers, and they’re True. God Bless.
