Those that read my thread “Earnestly Searching…” the parish closest to me (thank you mooster!) called me this morning. I know me and the RCIA director talked 2 1/2hrs!!! I am SO
excited and filled with joy!!! I am meeting her at the church tomorrow and she’s going to go over things with me and give me the Mass order. She told me I can be active in everything w/the exception of Communion and Confession. Everything that I’m willing to learn, and I’m very willing:D, she will teach me. Since 3 of my 4 kids are older (teens) they have a special program for them, kinda like RCIA. My son that’s 7, will just make it in for the kids his age for their 1st Communion. We’re all will be baptised as well.

I need everyone’s prayers. Now that I have been vocal, the devil is at work already. My husband, who seemed open-minded at first, is now not so much so. I KNOW this is the right thing. I know if he listens with his heart he will know as well this is right. Please pray for us!!!

Just had to share the GOOD NEWS!!!

God Bless!
Kathy

**Kathy,

God Bless You!!!

Focus on Jesus and His Infinite Love and Mercy for us! He left us His One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church to lead us to the beauty of the Fullness of Truth.
**
You are very courageous, most people, even most Catholics, shy away from the challenge and follow the crowd, taking the easy road.

Do not get discouraged by the many sinners in the Church, focus on the good, on the love you will find there. **Just because the Apostles Jesus chose and personally trained still denied and betrayed Him, it does not diminish the perfection of Jesus and His Truth!!
**
Now pray for courage because Satan will use every means available to discourage you! You are in my prayers!!

"And he said to all, ‘If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me’ " (LK 9:23).

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

Wonderful news! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

:angel1:

Congratulations! And welcome!

In 1985 I was in your shoes - decided to take the plunge even though absolutely no one in my family or in Hubby’s was Catholic. My two children, ages 3 and 4, and I were Baptized together on November 19, 1986!

Soon, my first grandchild will be Baptized!

I will keep you and your children in my prayers. Satan WILL try to test you. My husband tried to discourage me at first as well. But at Easter Vigil in 1987 he joined the Church as well! So I will pray that your husband joins you, too.

Pray every day for strength. Jesus is with you!

Heavenly Father: Keep Kathy strong and give her the courage to continue to follow You. Blessed Mother: Be at Kathy’s side and guide her to Your Son, Jesus!

That’s great news! Your post sounds so positive and full of joy at your wonderful news.

The devil will always try and stop you from following the right and faithful path by putting obstacles and doubters in your way, but don’t listen, and, if for any reason the devil gets to you then confession and forgiveness will always be there.

Kathy,
Welcome to our flock!!! God loves you, and we at CAF love you too!!
God Bless and enjoy the mass!

Kathy

This is terrific news. I was just baptised on Aprill 11 at this year’s Eaaster Vigil. It was one of the greatest experinces of my life!!

My family and I will pray for you!

Amy : )

I would like to welcome you to the Church, too. Remember that we cradle Catholics are always learning too. None of us will reach perfection this side of the grave, but we need to keep on plugging away.

God bless and keep you. You are about to embark on a wonderful journey!

I was 39 when I was baptized into the faith and I am the only catholic in my family. You will get asked the strangest questions, all of them leading you to deeper faith in God. 😃 Feel free to PM me any time!

Peace Be With You,

HC

Thank you, Mark, may God bless you as well!

I know in my heart God led me here and I will not stray from what He has said to do!

It’s funny you say that, because while talking with the RCIA director, she said the same thing…that there are those that are in the church that aren’t always doing right by God and the Church. I told her while that happens all over in every church and denomination, I have a renewed sense of faith and joy and feel as if God has given me another chance. I know that I will be a better Christian because of it. THIS is where God wants me, in HIS church doing HIS will!

I will pray for courage and thank you much for your prayers:)

God Bless!

May God bless you!! Your post brought tears to my eyes as I know what’s right is not always what is easy. The devil will be at work to try to take my joy but I refuse to let that happen!

My children haven’t been baptized. So I am wanting to baptize them in the church as well.

I will pray daily and I thank you for keeping me and my family in your prayers.

May God Richly Bless You and Your Family,
Kathy

Thank you very much!

I refuse to let him get to me! I have inner joy and peace and I won’t let anyone/anything take that from me! I know it won’t be easy but I’m in for the long haul:thumbsup: No one/nothing is worth my soul!

God Bless!

Thank you very much, Pippin.

You are absolutely correct! And we are never too old to learn!

Let me say how lucky of you to be in Hawaii:p It’s on my list of places to go before I die;)

Thank you so much, HC!

My brother was the only Catholic until my calling. He was asked the strange questions 1st and now I’m getting round 2! I just pray that God will give me the right words to explain the Truth. I know this is just the beginning and that I have a lot to learn. You would think common sense would come into play here, so as not to overwhelm someone so NEW that has just found Truth and they want you to explain it as if you’ve been in the CC for 20 years:rolleyes:!!!
I thank you again!

God Bless You and Your Family,
Kathy
