why is it an ILLICIT and/or SCHISMATIC Mass…it is neither, it is a Catholic Mass!!!
Any mass celebrated by a priest who is suspended is illicit. Many people use the term illicit when speaking about abuses that they frequent in the OF. The fact is that this is not true.

The action, such as consecrating Wonder Bread is illicit, but the mass is licit, because the priest is in good standing with the Church.

In the case of the SSPX, they are not in good standing. They remain suspended… Therefore, even when they do everything by the book, the mass is illegally celebrated. In other words, they do not have permission to celebrate mass.
This is what Ecclesia Dei said regarding attending SSPX chapels (this is back in 1999, so some of the information is a little outdated):
Notice that the ED Coimmunision repeats what I said above. A mass celebrated by a suspended priest is illicit. At the time that this was written, the bishops were excommunicated. Their priests have never been excommunicated. The excommunication had nothing to do with the celebration of an illicit mass. The Church does not excommunicate anyone for celebrating an illegal mass.
This assumes that the suspensions are valid and applicable (i.e. that there is no crisis).
You have pushed this point far enough and I’m going to report you. You are always posting the same silly statement, “Assuming this” or “assuming that”. The fact that the Church has said that they suspensions exist is all that is needed for validity.
Additionally, most suspended priests (incl. the SSPX priests) are only forbidden to say public Masses, they can still say private Masses,
This is false. A priest who is suspended may never celebrate any sacrament until the suspension is lifted, not even when he’s alone. A suspension means that he loses the right to function as a priest until his situation is regularized.
It is not encouragement to commit a sin if one considers assisting at an NO Mass while being aware of its problems to be sinful (as Abp. Lefebvre taught). It is encouraging one not to sin, to not endanger their faith.
I just have tried to forget that the NO exists, traditionalists don’t really consider it a viable option simply because it may be closer.
Since it is far more likely for an NO priest to preach against Church teaching than for an SSPX priest to do so, why do you not give the same warning about assisting at an NO Mass?
This is not good advice.

Fraternally,

Proselytizing for the SSPX is not allowed. Please read the rules for discussing the SSPX.
