I have come upon an Interesting Site.
It uses Logic in order to prove the existence of G-d.
Please answer these question based on what you BELIEVE.
And what you think is TRUE.
Logicaly, science, Logic, and the laws of Morality all Lead to G-d.

Here is the Link proofthatgodexists.org/

G-d Bless:)

There is also A section on that site that talks about other religions
Such as
Mormonism
Hinduism
Bhuddism
Confucism
Islam

And how these religions are “ImPerfect” when comparing to Christianity

ex. Bhuddism does not give the answer to where life came from etc…

I hope you enjoy the site, and I here comments from this.

Proof that God Exists.org

Please note: the Creator of the Site is not Catholic.
Be wary if anything conflicts Catholic Teaching.

Ok, I clicked a bit around there. Whoever created that page has the intellectual capacity of a 12-year-old. He should learn some basic mathematics and logic first, i.e. look up and understand (that’s the hard part) the term “antinomy”, before putting together such obvious nonsense.

Would you be interested in reading the material on this website of a well-known Catholic philosopher, Peter Kreeft? He has quite a few arguments concerning how one can perceive God through logic, peterkreeft.com/topics/gods-existence.htm .

Why are so many atheists like this?

It’s one thing to not to believe in God.

It’s another thing to do everything you can to avoid arguments for his existence, and to blindly repeat again and again that “there is no evidence for God! God is beyond reason!” When I debate with atheists, it shocks me how ignorant they are of “our side” of things. You read authors and websites who agree with you, and do everything you can to avoid reading something else - by, for example, complaining about web-design or calling the writer a “12-year-old” or what have you.

I agree that that particular website isn’t very good but yeah.

God is above logic. So any such proof is nonsense.
Is your alias a joke? If you are really an atheist, one would assume that you don’t believe in God, whether above logic or not.

If you are not an atheist, what gives you the right to tell theists what they believe?

Theists have not for the most part taught traditionally that God is above logic. Certainly the mainstream of classical Christian thought has not held this. The laws of logic are an expression of God’s eternal nature. God is not “above” them any more than He is above the eternal moral law. God is “above” laws that derive from the nature of His creation–the laws of physics, for instance, or moral laws that pertain only to certain kinds of creatures.

Since you seem to have some difficulties writing posts with your own words and instead seem very fond of copying/pasting, I will state my answer with a link:

I mean no disrespect. But the website’s logic seems to fall into the same category as the statement:

“This statement is false”

The questions assume that absolute truth exists, but provide no proof of absolute truth. For one who selects the option “Absolute truth does not exist” they are then asked whether this is absolutely true or false. Asking whether the selected statement is absolutely true or false assumes that absolute truth exists.

Thanks to josie L for posting the link to Peter Kreeft I’m interested in how he presents his arguments.

It’s not a proof, even though I agree with the basic argument. It all depends on what you mean by “immaterial laws.” If “laws” are simply descriptions of how things always behave, then this says nothing about whether there is any immaterial reality or not. The argument assumes that “laws” must be independent of our minds and independent of the physical objects whose behavior they govern. In short, it assumes a “realist” rather than a “nominalist” position. Even medieval Christian philosophers disagreed on this–i.e., not all accepted the idea that there are “laws” out there with some kind of essential existence independent of specific instances (the nominalists would say by and large that laws are simply decrees of God’s will). In fact, as AnAtheist’s post about the laws of logic shows, atheists today typically assume that all theists are nominalists (largely because they are nominalists themselves, I think–the realist position is so far outside their spectrum that they don’t even notice it).

The material on “other worldviews” on that site is far more embarrassing. He doesn’t understand Hinduism or Buddhism at all. I’m trying to decide if it’s worthwhile writing him about it.

I would add “human” before the word logic. But I think humans are very submissive of human logic. If someone where to ask me what a book is, I would give them a book as a demonstration, but can I really say I know what a book is. Maybe you can, but I cannot but give definitions. However, I know other things, such as love.

I would add “human” before the word logic.
And what would that mean? Insofar as humans are never perfectly logical, this would be true. I.e., God is more logical than we are.

But there isn’t something called “human logic.” There’s just logic, which exists supremely and perfectly in the mind of God.

Well, I agree that the website is poor and provides bad arguments, but that is something of an argument for absolute truth, isn’t it? Because we all constantly assume its existence in any sort of argumentation, even those who claim that it doesn’t exit. To say “absolute truth does not exist” admits the existence of absolute truth.

He is also sending Hate mail to a Pro-Life Pharmacy, simple because the owner sent a speaking invitation.
Personaly I think that Biology Proffesor is simply blinded by Hate.

Exactly my Point.

Although I admit, the Website should have more choices in it, it is quite interesting. And Honestly, I think some Individuals are better art argueing this then I can, so i do like siting there work. Then Offering my help.

Just letting you know how offensive PZ Meyers is to us (Catholics) as this is the very same professor who put a nail (or was about to put a nail, can’t remember now) into a consecrated host. He got into heaps of trouble. Personally, I think he’s quite disturbed. And I read the article, he doesn’t really pose an argument against moral absolutes just sort of dismisses it.
