**Every fast it is like we’re re-creating West Side Story here at CAF. **

** :slapfight:**

** Cool it, will ya?**

I have higher expectations of charitable and fruitful behavior from posters during Lent. I’m typically easy-going and I allow a lot of leeway, but that leeway is being taken advantage of right now.** I will be strictly moderating for the remainder of the Lenten Fast**, and I will be warning, infracting and if necessary banning members for violations of the forum rules in Non-Catholic Religions or Eastern Catholicism. Please don’t let it include you. If there’s any doubt about charity or compliance with forum rules then write me or delete it.

**Some of the things that will get you banned this Lent:**1) Telling me that you refuse to abide by the forum rules.
2) Bringing up topics, veiled or directly, that are banned topics. One example is speculating on why members were suspended or banned.
3) Calling each other schismatics or heretics despite counseling or knowledge of the rules which forbid it.
4) Using abusive language with me or with forum participants.
5) Being consistently uncharitable, questioning the faith of others, or otherwise continuing to violate the forum rules despite moderator attempts to address the uncharitable behavior.
I welcome your private messages with questions, comments or concerns and will do what I can to be understanding and helpful. I’m here to make sure the forum rules are applied consistently, fairly, and appropriately to all. The rules are clear: we expect all people to maintain charity in their postings, to refrain from posting rude or abusive messages, to refrain from questioning the faith or sincerity of other posters, and to abide by the other rules outlining an expectation of basic courtesy.

Please don’t decide to take concerns into your own hands by responding in a way that is also in violation of the rules as this will not help anyone and will only get you included in the list of those being warned, infracted, suspended, or banned (depending on severity). It is my hope that the list of such members will be empty throughout Lent. Please help me to attain this by doing your part to remain charitable and to post within the forum rules, reporting problem posts as necessary.

May God Bless You Abundantly,
Catherine Grant

Happy the soul that fears the LORD! In whom does he trust, and who is his support?
The eyes of the LORD are upon those who love him; he is their mighty shield and strong support, A shelter from the heat, a shade from the noonday sun, a guard against stumbling, a help against falling.
He buoys up the spirits, brings a sparkle to the eyes, gives health and life and blessing.
Tainted his gifts who offers in sacrifice ill-gotten goods! Mock presents from the lawless win not God’s favor.
The Most High approves not the gifts of the godless, nor for their many sacrifices does he forgive their sins.
Like the man who slays a son in his father’s presence is he who offers sacrifice from the possessions of the poor.
The bread of charity is life itself for the needy; he who withholds it is a man of blood.
He slays his neighbor who deprives him of his living: he sheds blood who denies the laborer his wages.
If one man builds up and another tears down, what do they gain but trouble?
If one man prays and another curses, whose voice will the LORD hear?
If a man again touches a corpse after he has bathed, what did he gain by the purification?
So with a man who fasts for his sins, but then goes and commits them again: Who will hear his prayer, and what has he gained by his mortification? Sirach 34:15-31
