I don’t know much about Walmart, as I’ve only shopped there a few times. Are they doing something illegal? If so, it should be stopped.
The last TV manufacturer in the USA sued china under American antidumping laws. Dumping is the practice of selling below your own costs so as to destroy your competitor. Once crushed, you can raise your prices and enjoy a monopoly.

Before this trial went to court, entities are given an oportunity to provide a petition to the court. You can submit your case on either side of the dumping accusation. Walmart filed a briefing on the side of China. Illegal? No. Right? I’ll leave it to you.

China was found guilty of dumping, Walmart filed a brief on the wrong side of justice.

Message received…obviously there are a lot of people worked up about Wal-Mart. Do what you want…protest…file suits…I’m okay with that. Like I said, I will continue to not shop there.

Oh, did he say something like this?

First, it is aesthetically worse than worthless. Tattoos are always kitsch, implying not only the absence of taste but the presence of dishonest emotion.

Second, the vogue represented a desperate (and rather sad) attempt on a mass scale to achieve individuality and character by means of mere adornment, which implied both intellectual vacuity and unhealthy self-absorption.

And third, it represented mass downward cultural and social aspiration, since everyone understood that tattooing had a traditional association with low social class and, above all, with aggression and criminality. It was, in effect, a visible symbol of the greatest, though totally ersatz, virtue of our time: an inclusive unwillingness to make judgments of morality or value.
were you listening too!? that’s almost exactly what he said! I guess that’s a topic for another thread. I do think it’s important though to question whether it’s even worth discussing what someone like michael medved has to say at all. i think the only way to make shock style radio hosts go away is to ignore them.
