Thanks, I finally got it I just had to wait Forever ( about 5 min.)
After It finally downloaded, I copied it to my documents and saved it. It’s really great, but the old English spelling is hard to get used to. Again thanks.👍
Glad you were able to make it work, and no doubt other readers will benefit from seeing these issues and how to get through them.

I’ve found that making a more conscious effort to “say” the words, even if silently, helps me when reading works from that era. I use the same trick with the 1611 KJV I sometimes haul out.

Regards,

Regards,
I think what makes it so hard for modern readers is their use of the long s which looks like an f, and the use of two v v for w.
I used to have a reprint of the first edition of the 1611 KJV. They did the same thing except they used a ‘u’ for a ’ v '.

Do you know if they accept postal money orders? I don’t like to give out my c.c.# on line.
I don’t know if they accept postal money orders but I do know they accept PayPal. I don’t know if you’d want to use that, but at least you’re not typing in your CC # in on their order form but instead are going to a site protected by your own login and password (and encryption I’m sure).

Hello,
I would like to inform that a facsimile reproduction of the Original Douay Rheims will be available in individual volumes on August 1.
I am currently selling off a set of proof copies on ebay. If you want to take a look at them, just go to ebay and search “Douay” or “Rheims” and you will find them. I will post again on Aug 1 with a link to the publisher. Please post or feel free to email me with any questions.

I don’t have a Paypal account, and I don’t trust it either. I have received email scams purporting to be from paypal warning me that my paypal account is being accessed from foreign countries.
I think I’ll email the person who is selling the D.R. Bible and see what’s up on his side.
