I need some recommendations to strengthen my faith. I strongly prefer an audiobook since I spend a good part of every day driving.
Most of my reading/audios are philosophical in nature and I enjoy that quite a bit. GK Chesterton, CS Lewis, and Peter Kreeft are my favorites. I’m not a fan of authors such as Mathew Kelly. I’m not sure why. I find the content vague, flowery, repetitive, and dry. I feel like my faith is lacking because of too much head and not enough heart; too much reason and not enough passion. I’m often told I over-think things but, until recently, my take on that has always been that the world thinks too little. I still think the world thinks too little, but I’ve come to the conclusion (after much thought
) that the other extreme is no better and I need help with that.
