How to even respond!?
Message: Dream on.
Think about it. There was a man who thought he was god. He had every rewason to believe that. He owned the world. He was worshipped. There was a woman god. Cleopatra. She wanted to own the world. The only thing between her and her ambition was a one night stand. If she could bear a male child by Julius she could gain control of his empire. Very tempting to a woman who was a whore Revelation 17:1. She desired to be a virgin. They both were in a position to pull this off. Whatever they decreed was law. Just like the pope today.
If Caesar said Cleoaptra was a virgin mother she was a virgin mother. If you objected off went your head.
Julius was celebant. He was a high priest in his own cult. CATHOLIC is symbolic for Pretaining to the holy (AC Augustus Caesar).
Julius need an hier. He made a deal with Antony. Cleopatra’s lover. Be a serrogate father. Cleopatra had a boy child. Antony claimed he was the legal emperor because he was the natural father of the adopted Octavian. A war ensued between Julius and Antony for control of the hier.
Julius won. Cleopatra got her vision.
The “virgin” was Cleopatra. If you say Cleopatra was not a virgin" I will ask what the Hell difference does that make? The project worked.

I think some people are trying to promote the latest movie on Augustus Caesar. 🙂 There is new movie out there. 😃

The Roman Emperors, starting with Augustus, claimed to be divine. This wasn’t quite the same thing as claiming to be gods. “Augustus” means “worthy of reverence”.

It is something we should remembers as an important part of the historical context of the gospels. However Jesus and Octavian / Augustus were two different people. Only a crackpot would claim the contrary.

Don’t respond. The message doesn’t even make sense. Julius Caesar didn’t fight with Antony and Cleopatra, that was Octavian (Caesar Augustus.)

There is a book on Amazon called “Caesar’s Messiah” by Joseph Atwill that claims that Christianity was invented by the Romans. The author bases this theory on "clues’ he found hidden in Josephus. Yes, it’s idiotic. However, there are real, live people out there who fall for this. Read the reviews. Ever heard of Ascharya S? She’s had two books claiming that the early Christians mixed up pagan gods to come up with the idea of Jesus. This is also similar to the claim by Freke and Grady (if I’ve got the spelling right).

These claims are bizarre and wrong. But real people are falling away from the faith because of them.

Whatever you do, don’t let Dan Browne get wind of this!!! :doh2:
