They should be publicly denounced and excommunicated immediately,

If there is to be any dialogue in the matter it can happen in private after the heretics have been removed.

It would be a disaster to say the least if the media gets ahold of this and baits the Church into turning this into a matter of open-dialogue and public debate.

If your personal social, economic, religious views make you perfectly in line with the Democrats’ platform, why enroll in the GOP and try to change it from within? In other words, if you don’t believe in transubstantiation, papal infallibility, think that women should be allowed to become priestesses, are pro-gay-“marriage”, why not become a Methodist or whichever of the many Protestant denominations that embrace your values?

and I wish they’d just leave. However, groups such as these do not leave the Catholic Church because it is counterproductive to their agenda, which is corruption from within. Their continued association with the Catholic Church gives them access to preach to members of the Catholic community, which they would not have otherwise.

I agree with expulsion of these dissidents from the Church…even it means losing 250-300, (or more) priests. It does not bother me. The Catholic Church will survive even if She were left with one holy priest.
