Greetings,
While I am convinced that the Gospel of St. Luke and the Gospel of St. John are authentically attributed to their authors, i have queries about the other two. This is especially so with the Gospel of St. Mathew. What are the proofs and arguments in favour of its apostolic origin? As i dont believe it’s a translation of the Gospel of Hebrews by St. Mathew, since what the Church Fathers have quoted from it is not to be found in the Gospel of St. Mathew. Please share your understanding of the subject.
May the Father grant us wisdom and the gift of understanding.
